So today was the day I was actually going over to the beautiful Freya's house for a project and I couldn't be happier. I'm currently walking over to her house but I'm quite nervous to meet her family. I mean her dad sounded great over the phone but her sisters quite mean. Either way everybody deserves a second chance.
I arrived at the front door knocking on it slightly. She answered almost immediately.
"Hey Harvey" she said.
"Hey Freya!" I said excitedly but her smile faded.
"Now isn't really a good time my family's playing monopoly and Isabelle's friend is round and I just don't think we're gonna get some good time to focus right now" she explained but I couldn't just lose my shot like this.
"No trust me it's fine! My house is really loud too" I lied.
"Are you sure?" She said.
"Yeah no problem it's fine!" I said stepping inside as she held open the door. The room went silent as I walked in."Hi!" Her dad said cheerfully.
"You must be Harvey" her mom said happily.
"Yeah I am! Hi guys" I said happily. That was when I turned my attention to Isabelle.
"So we meet again" she said. I nodded.
"This is max" she said pointing to a ginger boy.
"Hi!" I said smiling. He didn't respond he just stared at Freya. I furrowed my eyebrows before saying.
"Do you wanna start on the project?"
"Yeah sure we can go to my room" she said leading the way."So where do you want to start I made notes!" I smiled emptying my bag.
"Yeah we can start doing whatever your notes say to do we only have to build our own version of a Bunsen burner and have a safe way for it to work" she said as if it was nothing.
"Easier said than done" I laughed.
"I'll just get my science book off of my shelf" she said standing and walking to the shelf. She stood on her tiptoes which I thought was cute and leaned on the shelf to reach, but as she leaned the top of the shelf tilted and a large book came sliding down aiming for her head. Quickly I stood up and caught it before it could do any damage. She looked at me and gasped as if I was some kind of superhero. That was when I caught myself staring into her perfect green eyes. She looked up at mine and smiled sheepishly. The reflection of the light made her eyes almost seem as though they were glistening below me. Never had I ever seen anyone more perfect than her.
However the moment was ruined by max bursting through the door and diving onto her bed.
"Hey Frey how're you gorgeous?" He blatantly flirted.
"Max get out!" She said angrily hitting him with the book.
"Okay okay calm down" he laughed.
"But when he's gone you'll call me back up here right?" He winked before leaving.
"I hate him" she sighed.
"He's like a year older than me and he thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread" she continued.
"Ignore him, we have a project to do anyways" I smiled sitting down with her.She was trying to tie a ribbon with her fingers when I looked up at her and saw her struggling. I watched in silence for a while before speaking.
"Here" I muttered taking her hands in mine and helping her tie it.
"You need to make bunny ears" I showed her she smiled up at me thanking me.The next day I sat in chemistry class with our half finished project on our table. The teacher walked over the room scanning how far we'd got with our projects when she said she had an announcement.
"There will be a new student joining our class As he has been held back from his previous one, everyone say hello to max" she announced.
You've got to be kidding me.
"Max you can make a group with Harvey and Freya and help them finish their project and remember you're trying to pass the class this time" she said as he came and slumped himself of a chair he'd pulled up in between us.
