Kelvin and Desmond sat on the couch watching Ezra Chase shoot food out of his hands, trying to replicate his unique powers.

"Damn it!" Shouted an exasperated Desmond after trying to shoot food out of his hands to no avail for the past hour or so. He then heard the shuffling sound of the clock resetting and was soon rejoined by Kelvin. After becoming exasperated himself also trying to replicate Ezra's powers, Kelvin took out his rage on the computer. After hearing the beeps, he furiously typed in the Numbers and absolutely obliterated the Execute button.

"Give it up, Des," said Kelvin as he sat down next to the Scottish man who refused to believe that he could not shoot food out of his hands. "But I saw it in my dream, brother," Desmond objected. "It was all so real!" Kelvin snorted and shook his head. "If only the things you saw came true..." he lamented. Desmond finally stopped concentrating and looked up at Kelvin. "Aye," he wondered aloud, "like a premonition!" Kelvin nodded. "Seeing the future," he mused. "That could come in handy!" Desmond agreed. "Aye, as long as I wouldn't have to foresee anyone's death or something equally grim," he said with a laugh. Kelvin laughed too. The two men accepted that you probably can't see the future, no matter how hard you might try. Much like how neither of them could shoot food out of their hands, even when they concentrated really hard. But most of all, they were both very grateful that Desmond did not foresee anyone dying anytime soon!
