A week has passed. School is great, James is great, Jen is great. But I still don't know who Alex is to me. I can't stop thinking about it. I want to know. What if she never tells me? And trust me. I've been trying to ask her all day.
In the hallway:
"Hey." I aproached her.
"Hi! how was your morning?" She smiled.
"Eh, tiring as always. Also, I have a question-"
"Hey girls!" Shell interrupted. "I think I have a new crush. He is SO cute, I couldn't wait to tell you guys!"
Then in class:
"He's so annoying." Alex rolled her eyes, writing down the notes on the board.
"Well, here's something a little more interesting. How did you know me-" Once I turned to make eye contact her eyes were shut and her head was resting on her fist. She may be faking, no one falls asleep that fast. Either way, she obviously doesn't want to talk about it right now. I let out a big sigh.
"Miss Brookes! For the last time this is NOT a sleeping class!" Mr. Bradly scolded.
ANDDD Lunch:
"Yeah so, I've been thinking. Since I lost my memory and all, lets talk about some memories we've all had about eachother that I forgot about."
"Ah! That's such a great idea!" Shell shouted, then proceeded to ramble about our memories as a group. Obviously, I wanted Alex to share some of our personal memories so I could at least get an idea, but even if I tried getting at that again, I couldn't because James walked over.
"Hey, why you sittin' over here?" He grabbed my hand lightly and helped me out of my seat. I could see Braydon and Alex roll their eyes.
---
"Hey babe." James walked over to me. How dare he interrupt my thinking. Ugh, he's lucky he's cute. "Babe?" I look up at him, bringing it to the attention that he's never called me babe.
"You will be soon." He smirked and kissed my cheek. I smile. "What's that supposed to mean?" I say, closing my locker. "You'll see." The bell rung, "I gotta get to class... but, meet me at my car after school."
"Uh oh, you're not gonna throw me in your truck and duct tape my mouth shut, are you?" I ask, jokingly. "Shut up." He chuckled a little while walking away.
"Straight couples make me sick." I heard a familiar voice. I turn around to see Terry walking my way, my facial expression makes them talk again. "I'm only half joking."
I gasp. "I'm offended. We aren't that bad!" We start to walk together once they catch up, we have the same class so it's only logical. "They're cringe and stereotyped." They add.
"Everything is stereotyped." I say, rolling my eyes at the fact. "That's true."
"So what? You're asexual?" I ask, genuinely curious of their sexuality.
"Nope, pan. But I'm nonbinary, so even if I were to date a boy or girl, we still wouldn't be considered a straight couple." They smiled as we turned into our classroom. Fine, fair point. I replied in my head.

The school day passed by quick. And when the last bell rung everyone sprinted out of class, making the loudest noises with their chairs and everything. As always, I stayed back for a little while to chat with my teacher and push in some of the chairs people forgot to push in, just to help and little bit.
"Oh crap! I have to go, I forgot I had to do something, sorry." I blurt in the middle of our conversation, grabbing my book bag and jogging out the door. I hope he wasn't waiting for too long.
Once I got outside most of the cars were gone, I scanned the parking lot for James's car, which was a red Lamborghini and there it was with a bunch of balloons and like 13 guys standing near it. I smiled a little and walked towards them and the car.
Every boy was holding a letter and it read out 'Will you be my gf' It lacks punctuation, and he could have spelt out girlfriend, but it's whatever. My grin grew bigger, nonetheless. "Where's he?" I ask. And as soon as I did, he was walking towards me with a gift in his hand.
"Ah, for me?" I say in a more girly accent and take the gift from him, opening it slowly. It was a necklace with his and my name on it in a really cute font. "Oh my gosh, it's gorgeous!" I say in excitement. "Put it on for me?" I handed him the necklace and tilted my head over, since my hair was already in a ponytail, and I didn't need to lift it.
He snapped on the necklace and peck kissed my neck three times in three different places. I laughed a little because it tickled. I then turned and gave him a nice and passionate kiss. "Yes, of course I will." I said while pulling away.
My hands were around his neck, and we were looking each other in the eyes, that is until I saw Alex walking out of the school. When she saw us, her expression changed. Disbelief, hurt, denial was in her eyes. A pretty brunette came out behind her in a happy mood, she laughed a little before she sees Alex's expression. Then she looked at me, then at Alex, then back at me one last time before she pat Alex's shoulder and grabbed her hand, leading her somewhere that was probably far from here.
Had I done something wrong? James noticed and moved my chin to look back at him. "What's wrong, precious? I can take the necklace back if you want it to look different."
"No, it's perfect." I flashed a fake smile. I wanted to go after her, and I knew that the girl that was with her would talk bad on me to cheer her up. I don't want that. Wait. Does that mean she was my girlfriend or something??? Shit what if she was and James is lying? Wait if that's the case then why wouldn't she tell me about it?
"I was thinking we could go on a date? A nice picnic."
I didn't hear a word he said, I only nodded, still confused and stuck. If I'm right and he's lying, how will I even confront her about this? It explains everything. How she knew me so well. Her expression when I kissed her on the cheek. Hell, her expression when I kissed James in front of her. Fuck.
