I finished trying on my clothes. It was a black turtle neck with no sleeves and black fitted jeans and a belt. The only shoes I brought were my converses, so thats what I wore with the outfit Amber had picked out for me. When I walked out of the closet, she was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed.
"Well would you look at that." She looked up from her phone smiling. "Not a word from you, I didn't even wanna go."
"So then those clothes were just sitting in your bag for nothing?" She interrogated.
"Well- what if they were my clothes for the ride home?"
"They aren't." She says confidently. "I really don't like you." I lie.
"Mhmmmmm." She smiled and stood. "Now lets go, the party is literally almost over, and this is our last day here, we leave after the party."
"Yeah, yeah." I stretched and walked out of the cabin with her. As we were walking out and getting closer to where the party was, which is the entrance area, the noise started to get louder and louder. There were two guards standing around, everyone was jumping at the music and laughing, some that were out of sight to the guards being... freaky.
"This is so stupid. What do you even do at parties?" I say, standing in the middle of everyone. "You dance, drink, play drinking games, have fun!" She started to dance.
"You look so stupid." I laughed. She grabbed my hand and twirled herself around in front of me. I go along with it and dip her. She had the biggest grin and it was contagious. We continued dancing as the music kept playing, I forgot about everything. Listening to the music and focusing on the beat and her. She was so pretty, her smile, the way her hair spun when she spun.
The dance ended quick, everyone was back at the cabins trying to pack and everything. It was currently 8:05, meaning that if we leave in 10 minutes we'd be home by 9 something, which isn't bad.
The busses were loaded by 8:15 as expected, I sat beside Braydon again. "That wasn't as bad as last year." I said, taking out my book.
"I bet." Braydon smirked.
"Stop!" I blushed a little and rolled my eyes. "Silence for the rest of this ride!"
He laughed, "You started the conversation, but whatever you say my liege."
"Ah, so polite. I'm surprised you don't have a girlfriend by now." I say in a more elegant voice. He stayed quiet and cleared his throat, making me gasp at his suspicions.
"I didn't want to say anything because you were going through the whole Loel thing."
"DUDE." I almost yelled. He rubbed his neck and started telling me about his girlfriend of 3 days. Apparently she goes to the school on the other street across from us, he showed me a picture. She's a pretty dark skin girl with grey eyes and box braids. She's really gorgeous.
The rest of the ride was pretty silent between me and Braydon, but it wasn't awkward, we were listening to his playlist with an air pod in his ear and one in mine.
"Can I meet her?" I say randomly, taking out my ear bud so that he could know I was talking to him. He took his out at well, "of course... when the time is right." Then we went back to listening to music as we got closer and closer to being dropped off at the school.

"Does everyone have their things out of the busses before they take off?" The principal asked everyone as we were walking in the building, no one responded, which I guess was a yes to her.
We ended up leaving after, most cars leaving at the same time. Right now I'm in Braydon's car, before the trip I asked my mom if I could stay the night with him and of course she agreed. And it's not weird at all because I'm gay and he simply knows how to respect a woman, also the fact that we're only close friends.
"Wanna stop and get something to eat before we head to the house?" He spoke, keeping his eye on the road.
"Uh, did you have something in mind?" I asked, turning my phone off. "Kinda craving sonic."
"Sure, I could go for sonic." I agreed. And with that, he drove us to sonic, we both ordered our usuals and parked in the parking lot of the nearest store which happened to be dollar general. Dinner was silent, the car filled with the sounds of the YouTube video we were watching, our favorite gamer: Berleezy.
The rest of the night was like any sleepover, had deep conversations, snuck in the kitchen to try to quietly sneak snacks... we surprisingly didn't wake up his mom this time, and watching stupid teenage movie romance. We enjoyed making fun of the characters, and I'll never admit it to him, but they get kind of interesting when you're eager to know how something is gonna go down. I blame my mom for watching hallmark a lot when I was little.
