I'm scared Blaise."
"Me too."
It was 11:55 November 13th. Everyone was huddled in the common room together waiting for the morning to arrive.
"What if it didn't work. what if because we broke up last year that it won't count or something."
"Ron calm down, look our marks are white. We completed the bond. We'll be fine."
"Think about it, if you guys are worrying look at me and Draco. We're screwed." Draco laughed resting his head against Harry's.
"I still think you're too good for me." He said and Harry scoffed.
"Course you do."
"It's almost time." Hermione said and I checked Blaise's watch.
11:59 we all stayed silent waiting, waiting for November 14th to arrive, the clock to strike 12 am and for the year of hell to be over. What would even happen after, what would happen if we had another argument and broke up again. Would that be it, death on the spot? Or were these things permanent now, would we never break up no matter what we tried, would we have to stay together.
I mean I wasn't complaining. It was 6th year, Blaise, Hermione and Seamus had all celebrated their 16th birthdays happily and we couldn't wait to plan out everyone else's too. Life was good.
"5." Draco spoke softly, "4."
"3." Everyone else started to join in.
"2."
"1." My wrist started to burn and I hissed in pain looking at Blaise's name burn back to black. I looked up confused as did everyone else.
"Why did they change to black again?"
"Maybe it's a sign, that the bond is completed. Now it just remains as a tattoo." Pansy said and Hermione sighed.
"I promised myself I'd never get a tattoo." She sighed.
"Well it's been a fun evening folks, but we should go. I'm surprised Dumbledore let us come to the castle to be fair." Fred said standing up with Lee and George.
"We'll see you all at Christmas?" We nodded.
"Bye guys." One by one they stepped into the fireplace and spoke the name of their shop before disappearing into the flames.
"I can't wait to get out of here and do something else." Theo said and Ginny sighed resting her head against Theo's shoulder.
"But when you go I'll still be here." She said. Luna nodded.
"Me too unfortunately."
"You've got each other." I said and Ginny smiled at Luna.
"Yeah we do."
"We should all go to bed." I said and everyone agreed saying our goodnights and heading off to bed.
"You know what I just realised?" I said shutting the door.
"What?" Blaise asked and I smiled.
"Happy one year Blaise Zabini." Blaise smiled.
"I got you something." He said and I was shocked, "what you really think I'd forget? I have the date on my wrist 24/7!" I laughed.
"I got you something too."
"Hold up." He started searching in his trunk for the mysterious present while I sat and waited on the bed. I looked down at my ring, the first present I ever got from Blaise. A promise ring. I looked up and my heart flew to my throat.
"Relax it's another promise ring." Blaise said and I breathed out a sigh of relief.
"We have a plan remember?" He said winking, "and anyway you're still Ron Zabini to me." I smiled.
"Okay, so what are you promising this time?" I asked and Blaise sat down next to me.
"Well last time I promised to love you forever and never let you go." I looked up at him.
"I didn't keep that promise. I let you go last year and it was possibly the worst decision I ever made listening to Draco's lies. But I'm back and I'm promising it again but adding the promise of being a caring loving boyfriend, and never letting you go again." I smiled.
"Thank you." I kissed him softly.
"Now open mine!" I passed him the gift from my bedside table.
"Blaise opened the gift and looked up at me when he realised what it was."
"Really?" He said smiling.
"I though we could match. And since you loved mine so much that you wouldn't give it me back. I thought I'd give you your own but of course in silver." Blaise held up the chain and smiled.
"I love it thank you."
"There's one more thing!" I pulled a large book out from underneath my bed.
"Another thing you wouldn't give me back." I handed it him and Blaise opened it his mouth opening further with every turn of the page.
"Where did you get all these pictures?"
"I contacted your mother and she sent some over for me."
"My mother?" Blaise looked up, "You contacted my mother?" I nodded.
"She explained that when she tried to visit you in January when you were in hospital your father wouldn't let her, she tried to send you letters using any owl she could find but your father tore them up. She misses you." Blaise had started to cry, something I didn't see in him much. The only time I'd seen Blaise cry is when I left hogwarts last year and even then we managed to pull through. But this was proper sobs as Blaise let everything he felt towards his mother and father pour out to me.
"She doesn't hate me?" He asked wiping his nose.
"No, she loves you so much and wants you to know she's okay. She left this in the letter for you." I pulled a piece of paper out my pocket. "She disguised the letter to me as a business owl because I told her too. Maybe she'll be able to send you ones like that too." I said and Blaise smiled.
"Thank you." He took the piece of paper from my hand and hugged me tight.
"I love you." He said wiping his eyes.
" I love you too Blaise."
