Today was Noah's first birthday, and my 19th. No matter my feelings towards my birthday I wasn't going to let it ruin Noah's.

Ginny and Theo had, had their baby 2 weeks ago on February 16th. The baby was a month early but was thankfully happy and healthy. Ginny had also had a boy and they named him Alexander or Xander for short. Hermione was nearly 7 months, being due on May 13th. Harry and Draco had got their child who was only 3 months at the time of the adoption. Scorpius Severus Malfoy they had named him. Blonde with Green eyes, the kid learnt fast and was very aware of everything around him at now six and a half months much like Noah. His birthday was August 15th, one of the younger ones.

I'd heard Noah stirring in the early hours of the morning and went to check on him. The teething had become less painful for him as most teeth had grown in and he was able to sleep on his back again. I picked him up out of the crib taking him downstairs.

"You hungry little man?" I asked and he nodded. Noah was getting there with his speech, now able to understand most words me and Blaise said. He just hadn't got the responding with words thing yet. He could shake and nod his head when he did or didn't want something but it was just getting him to talk. He could do it and said little things now and again to me and Blaise but they were normally one word answers like, yes, no and ta.

"You still don't wanna talk huh?" I said preparing some formula in a bottle making sure it wasn't too warm before handing it to him. He leant forward wanting to be put down so I stood him on his feet and let him walk to the sofa and climb onto it.

He'd taken a liking to a muggle item called a Television, along with the muggle shows that came with it. I turned it on and Noah immediately glued his eyes to the screen. I watched his fascination and smiled kissing the top of his head.

"Happy birthday little man." I said softly. I heard footsteps and Blaise emerged at the bottom of the stairs.

"How are my birthday boys?" He asked and I smiled.

"Well I'm good, I don't know about super old Noah over here." Blaise chuckled pouring himself a cup of coffee.

"Happy birthday." He said pressing a kiss to my lips.

"Thank you." I said and Blaise sat down looking at Noah.

"He really likes this Television thing doesn't he?" He said watching how glued Noah's eyes were to the screen.

"It distracts him when he gets upset, best present Hermione's ever got us." Blaise laughed.

"Speaking of presents." He said pulling something out from behind the sofa.

"Noah." He said and the boy turned to look at him.

"Noah look what daddy got you." I said and he shimmied off the sofa and walked over to Blaise getting up next to him.

"It's for you." Blaise said and I smiled as Noah ripped off the paper.

"What is it?" I said and Noah showed me a new colouring book. He pulled the milk bottle out of his mouth.

"For me." He said and Blaise laughed.

"Yeah for you."

"What do we say to daddy Noah?" I said.

"Ta." He said quietly running his hand over the front of the book and Blaise kissed the top of his head.

"No problem little man."

"He's not gonna know what to do with himself today." I sighed, "I just hope he doesn't get too overwhelmed."

"He'll be alright." Blaise said, "He's a Zabini." I smiled.

"Noah shall we go get dressed?" Blaise asked and he nodded. Blaise took him upstairs to get changed taking the colouring book and bottle with him. There was a tap on the window and a tall, well presented owl sat on the ledge that I knew as Percy's. I opened the window and the owl held out it's leg for me to take a letter and a pouch from it. The bird flew off once the stuff was detached. I opened the envelope and took out the letter.

Ron,

Happy birthday! Sorry Me, Charlie and Bill couldn't be there but we've sent some money over for the kids savings. Hope you both have a good birthday, we'll see you soon.

Percy, Charlie, Bill and Fleur x

Ps. Tell Gin congratulations on the kid, can't wait to meet him.

I smiled and opened the pouch. Around 20 galleons fell out. I'd have to take them to Gringotts tomorrow. I sat back down resting my head against the back of the sofa. Today was going to be a long day.

People started arriving by 10 which was fine as it meant we had four hours until Noah would go down for a nap and hopefully all the gift opening would wear him out so he'd be asleep for a few hours tops. It gave a chance for us to all be adults together despite the new baby being there and Scorpius but they were not trouble really. Scorpius would probably go down with Noah if we timed it well.

Hermione and Pansy were the first here of course, Hermione still being on top of her game 7 months pregnant.

"How are you guys?" I asked Noah sitting on my lap eating some fruit.

"We're great." Hermione said, "Everything's ready for the baby I thought we'd get extra prepared after Ginny's came a month early. I smiled. Soon everyone was here and Noah was being showered with presents and by the time 2 came around he was practically falling asleep in my arms. Blaise took him upstairs along with Scorpius as Harry and Draco agreed that it would be best for them to sleep at the same time. Xander was asleep next to Ginny in the pushchair so all was quiet.
