A hell of a promise

"Ron get up!" I was woken up by Fred shaking me.

"What go away!" I said pushing him off me.

"It's Christmas dumbass get up!"

"What time is is?"

"7 now get out of bed!" Fred pulled the duvet off me and I groaned sitting up.

"Where's Blaise?" I said rubbing my eyes.

"He's downstairs told us to let you sleep a little longer. We're waiting on you."

"Fine I'm coming." I said following Fred down the stairs and throwing myself down next to Blaise.

"Morning." He said and I smiled as he sling his arm over my shoulder.

"Right I've sorted the presents out into piles Ronald so don't mess them up!" Hermione said bustling about.

"I won't don't worry Mione." I said yawning.

"Right let me hand them out." She passed around the piles to everyone. We all got the usual jumpers from Mum and some sweets from Dad but with the added presents from the others, we were gonna be here for a while.

"Oh sugar all your presents are upstairs!" I said standing up, "Give me a sec." I ran up the stairs grabbing the presents out of the loose floorboard and took them downstairs.

"What did you get Ron Blaise?"

"It's called a promise ring. Muggles use to well promise things to one another."

"What are you promising?"

"That's a secret." He said and I smiled before continuing into the living room pretending I hadn't heard anything.

"Here." I passed them out to everyone.

"It's not much but it's something."

"Harry here." I passed him a gift. Harry was surprised staring at the gift.

"I didn't think you would've got me anything?"

"Oh I got it months ago. It's nothing really." He opened it gasping when he saw the contents.

"Ron... you didn't."

"It's just something I picked up."

"But you didn't know about..."

"That's not what matters, Merry Christmas mate." I said and Harry smoothed his hand over the picture of him and Cedric.

"Merry Christmas." Harry said and I knew he wasn't talking to me.

"Ron these are beautiful by the way." Hermione said holding up the earrings I bought her.

"I got the four of you matching ones, I thought you'd like them."

"Like them! We love them!" Ginny said holding up her dark red ones. I got her them, Luna a light pink, Pansy a dark green and Hermione dark blue.

"Thank you Ron." Luna said,

"No problem."

"These will go with everything!" Pansy said and I smiled. Draco was next to open his present and rolled his eyes when he did.

"Really? A wizards guide to making apples?" He said and I laughed.

"Especially the green ones of course." I said winking. Draco threw some wrapping paper at me.

"I'm joking! Here." I passed him his real present. He opened it and smiled. I got him some green and silver silk pyjamas along with a silver and green pillow case and duvet to match.
