I Almost Lost You

Chapter 21

After Michael and I's date, he dropped me off because it was almost 12 when our date finished and I had work tomorrow. It was definitely an amazing date. We planned another one for tomorrow at 12 to have lunch, I already ask if I could take an "off campus" lunch and Rick said yes.

When I got home and fell right asleep.

I woke up at 8, I don't know why. I was so tired from last night. I walked down stairs and found a note with a cup of coffee freshly brewed. I picked up the note and read:

Dear Lily,

Since I noticed you came home late yesterday, based on the poorly written text you sent me at midnight saying you wanted to sleep forever; I came over this morning and made you coffee. If you'll look to your right, there's a better surprise.

Love, A.

I put the note down and looked over. Ashton was sitting there with a McDonald's bag. I smiled and walked over to him.

"Good morning love." He said handing me my bag.

"Good morning Ash. Thank you." I said sitting on the floor.

"No problem, how was your date?" He asked as he took a bite of his mcmuffin. I swallowed my bite and answered.

"It was really fun, we have a lunch date today." I nodded.

"Good." He said taking a sip of his apple juice. "Do you have work today?" He asked.

"Yea, at 10, our date is at 12, and then I get off at 2. Why?" I asked.

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to do something today. Like maybe going on a little adventure to this water fall that I found." He finished. I got super excited at this "adventure" idea and nodded. "Cool, want me to pick you up at work?" He asked. "Sure, I'll text you when I'm ready." I said.

For the rest of the morning we hung out and watched tv. I told him about Michael and how he plays guitar. He said he'd love to have the rest of the band meet him and hear him play. I'll tell Michael today at lunch if he's up for it.

"Hey Lily?" Ashton asked.

"Yea?" I responded looking at him.

"You do realize that you are wearing my shirt, and no pants..." He said laughing. I looked down and leaned forward into my legs. It wasn't that I was embarrassed it's just that I didn't notice.

I got ready for work and Ashton drove me. I told him to grab my bathing suit before he came. I was really excited for my day, I was having lunch with Michael, and then I was going to a waterfall/natural pool with Ashton.

When I got to work, I checked in and Rick had me take a shot at the register today. I got the hang of it pretty quickly and I made a lot of tips...I have no idea why. Twelve was rolling around quickly and I was getting excited. I left the register and went to my usual job when another worker came in. His name was William, he was cute...but not my type. He was a complete fuckboy. There's a difference between looking like a fuckboy and acting like one. He is both... Up until Michael came, he was hitting on me. I hadn't seen him before, but apparently he's been working her for a like a year.

When Michael got here to pick me up, I told Rick is be back by 1. He said okay and I was off. Michael took me to this little restaurant in Sydney. It was really cute and the food was amazing. The whole time we spent talking about each other and what we liked to do. I learned a lot about him. I told him a lot about me, everything that he wasn't told was about my past. He doesn't need to know that now. Ashton still doesn't know, I'm thinking about telling him today. I still owe him an explanation from like two months ago when I burned my hand. I haven't talked to Luke or Calum at all really. The occasional scream "hello" from them when I was talking to Ash on the phone. I needed to find some girl friends. I need a girl I can talk to about these boys.

Michael dropped me off at work and he was acting a little nervous.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Well um yea, I just want to ask you something." He said looking at his hands. I nodded for him to continue.

"Would you like to be my girlfriend?" He asked looking into my eyes.

"Yes, I would love to." I said leaning in to kiss him. He caught on and kissed me. This kiss had more passion in it...I liked it. We planned to make another date, not a specific day or anything. I'm very glad me and him are dating now, I really like him...but then I'm not sure about Ashton.

I may actually have feeling for him too...
