I Almost Lost You

Chapter 10

I hope it will be fun.

The second after I finished brewing my tea, the door bell rang.
"Fuck..." I whispered as the noise scared me, causing me to trip and place my hand on the burner.
"Just a sec, wait it's open!" With that, Ashton and Calum came flying in.
"Jesus Christ boys..." I said.
"Sorry, we wanted to make a grand entrance." Calum said giggling.
"Well that certainly was a grand entrance." I say as I turn on the water for my hand.
"What happened?" Ashton asked walking over towards me.
"I burnt my hand on the stovetop." I said drying it off.
"Damn, are you okay?" he asked inspecting my hand as if it was a foreign species.
"I'm fine, it's not like I'm not used to it." FUCK! Shit shit shit shit shit. I didn't mean to say that! God damn it!!
"What do yo-" he started.
"SO! Who's ready?" I said walking towards the coat rack.
I grabbed my jacket and looked back at the two baffled boys.
"Well, you coming?"

Ashton didn't speak until we were halfway there, and he only said that we were halfway there. I must of struck something inside of him when I said that. God damn it! Why the fuck did I say that? I'm so stupid...he probably hates me now and doesn't want to talk to me.
On the other hand, Calum asked me possibly every question he could. He was really good looking, that was an understatement, he was beautiful. He had perfect cheekbones, eyes, lips, basically just his face was perfect. He kept asking questions about my life that I didn't want to quite answer. So instead I turned the questions around somehow and he ended up answering them.
The car ride was boring. The only thing covering the silence was the soft music coming from the radio. Ashton still hadn't said anything. I'm really scared that he doesn't want to talk to me. But then again, he seems like a person the would really wanna help someone out with an issue. Maybe he's just trying to think of the right things to say. Since I said that, he's gonna have the questions, and I have the answers.
"We're here." Ashton said with a little excitement in his voice.
Me and Calum both groaned in relief. We all needed to forget about the previous events that happened this morning and just have a fun day.
"Why are we at a hotel?" I asked
"There's someone at the top we want you to meet." Ashton responded.
"Who?"
"Just wait!" Calum said.
When we walked in I was in awe. The place was beautiful.
"It's so pretty!" I said admiring my surroundings.
"Just wait..." Ashton said smirking.
We hopped onto an elevator and made our 50 story journey to the top. It took a good 2 minutes to get up there. But it was worth it.
"Holy...Oh my god..." I stuttered.
I heard the boys laugh. I turned around and smiled. I walked over to the ledge and looked out. It was breathtaking. You could see the Opera House, the water, everything.
"Is that her?" I heard an unfamiliar voice say.
"Yep, that's Lily." I heard Calum say.
I turned around and saw a very tall blonde GORGEOUS boy looking at me. Holy shit was this boy attractive.
"Hi-llo, uhh hi." I shakily stuttered. The three boys giggled. I bowed my head in embarrassment.
"Hi Lily, I'm Luke. Luke Hemmings." He said in a husky Australian accent.
I didn't know what to say so I just nodded my head. He asked me questions about why I moved here and just normal questions. We were talking for a good half hour before we were interrupted by two men rolling carts with food out. It was a mini buffet for us.
"Enjoy." Said the taller blonde one.
"Thank dad for me!" Luke said. The man nodded in response and walked away with the other. I turned around and looked at Luke.
"Dad?" I asked
"Yea, my dad owns this place. So we get free stuff and we get to stay here for free." He responded getting a plate. The boys were right behind him. Luke grabbed another plate and handed it to me. "You gonna eat?" He asked.
I took the plate and hopped behind Ashton. He looked back and whispered "we need to talk." And continued on. I didn't know what he wanted to talk about. Well obviously about what happened earlier, but like what exactly? I hope he's not mad at me. I didn't mean to say it...it just slipped out!
I grabbed my food and sat down at one of the tables where the boys were sitting. We talked about anything and everything. Of course they kept on getting up and getting more because they were hungry. I was too but I only got two servings while they each got at least four.
I'm happy the boys introduced me to Luke. I made another friend here, but they're all boys. How much you wanna bet that the next one will be too?
