Everything was perfect.

Lily's POV

Ashton and I went out to dinner after I got "settled" in. He walked home to get his car, then came and picked me up. I refused for him to pay for me, but then I realized I hadn't gotten any money yet because I haven't transferred my money to Australian dollars.

Yes, I almost paid the cab driver 20 American dollars. That would've been embarrassing...

Anyways, dinner was lovely and we had a great time. He dropped me back off at my house and he stayed for a cup of tea. I learned about him, mostly present thing, nothing really about his past. I did the same. I knew he could tell I was hiding something. I felt really bad about it, but I "barley" know him. And now is just not the time, later on, like if he was to ask me in like a few months, then yes I would tell him. I'm just afraid he'll get to know me then leave me...like everyone else has in my life.

--------

I got out of the shower and grabbed my towel from the hook. I wrapped it around me and walked into my room to grab my clothes. I got dressed and walked back into the bathroom to brush my teeth. After finishing getting ready for bed, I decided to write, not in my book, but my journal. I grabbed the brown leathered notebook from my backpack and walked into the living room. My tea cup was empty, so I decided to change that. After my tea finished brewing, I walked back over to the couch, placed my cup on the coffee table, and plopped onto it. I opened up my journal and scanned over my previous pages, I almost started crying just from reading them. Remembering what had happen just before I wrote the entries, made more of an impact. I remember every day of my past, every single, minute, punch, kick, slap, burn, and cut. It was a rough time, actually rough is an understatement, more like hell.

I was torn from reading by my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I asked

"Hey it's Ashton, I just wanted to make sure you we're safe." He said, I could hear him smile through the phone. I started to smile as well.

"Aww, thanks Ash! That's so sweet. Yea, I am safe. I did a complete look through my house after I came home and I locked all the doors and windows. Don't worry, I will call you if I need anything. Okay?" I replied

"Okay good. I'm sorry haha, I just hoped you were okay and I needed to make sure."

"Thank you Ashton, that really nice of you."

"Goodnight Lily! I heard another voice yell.

"Who was that?" I asked

"Oh that's just my annoying ass friend Calum. Say hi, you're on speaker."

"Hiiiiiii...Calum?" I said pausing to remember his name.

"Hi Lily! I'm Calum and Ashton won't shut up about you, I think he liuoohhh mooo!" He said, it got muffled at the end, so I'm assuming Ashton covered his mouth. I started laughing and they did too.

"God you can be such a dick sometimes!" I heard Calum say.

"Oh please like I'm the dick?" Ashton retorted.

"Yea, you can be at ti-" Calum started

"BOYS! STOP FIGHTING I'M STILL HERE!" I yelled into the phone.

"Sorry Lily!" I heard them say in unison.

"Good. Now as much as I would love to listen to you two bicker over whose more of a dick, I have to go, I'm sorry." I said laughing.

"Okay Lily! Goodnight!" I heard Calum say.

"Hey, you're not on speaker phone anymore. Goodnight Lily, I lo-hope you have sweet dreams!" He said sweetly.

"You too Ash!"

"Goodnight."

"Wait! Ashton?"

"What is it love?"

"Thank you, honestly, for everything."

"You are welcome. Now go get some rest! WE have a big day tomorrow! He said loudly.

"What?" I replied confused.

"Nothing! I'll be there at 11, dress normal! BYE!!" He said wicked fast.

"Wha-" I started, but he had already hung up. I was really curios as to what was going to happen tomorrow.

Before I did anything, I set the clock for Sydney so I was on their time, then set an alarm for 10 tomorrow. I looked at the clock and it was 9:38pm. Man was I tired. It had been a long day. I know I "slept" on the plane but that wasn't enough. I grabbed my journal and wrote in the events that had occurred today. I think that entry was the first happy one. See? Australia is going to be better. I finished today's entry and just doodled on the page. I designed the cover so it said journal on it in a cool font with other designs around it.

After I finished my cup of tea, I decided to go to bed. I walked up to my room and plopped down onto it. I pulled the comforter up to my armpits and rolled onto my side. Within minutes I was out.

-------

*American Idiot by Greenday starts playing.

I woke up to the sound of American Idiot playing. That was my alarm. The beginning was loud and it was a great alarm. I rolled over and unlocked my phone, and the music shut off. I slowly sat up and swung my legs out from the covers. I rubbed my eyes and grabbed my glasses. After sitting on my bed for a few more minutes, I got up and walked into the bathroom. I almost screamed at my reflection. Why were my eyes so puffy? My face was so red and just not human-looking. Did I cry in my sleep? But I didn't have a bad dream...why was I crying? Was I even crying, or was it just jet lag? I dunno man...

I brushed my teeth and decided on what to do with my hair. Straightening it. After I brushed through it, I started straightening it. When I finished, I applied minimal makeup, though still covering the redness.

My phone started ringing, I grabbed it and answered.

"Hi Ashton!" I said happily.

"Good morning love!" He responded ecstatic.

"What's up? and where are you taking me today?"

"It's a surprise, me and Calum are taking you out. You don't have to dress up. Jeans and a t-shirt are fine."

"Fine, you're a butt." I retorted

"I know, but I'm a sexy butt." He sassed.

"No you're not." I giggled.

"Be there soon love. Bye!" He said. I responded with an 'okay' and he hung up.

I was really excited for today, I wanted to get out and see everything.

I hope it will be fun.
