I Almost Lost You

Chapter 6

"You sure are a tease..." I said almost inaudible.

"Yes. Yes I am." I heard him say. I gasped and we both started laughing.

We sat in a comfortable silence for about 5 minutes before I decided to break it.

"So...why did you go to America?" I asked

"Just for vacation." He said smiling. I nodded in response.

"Um do you wanna watch a movie?" I asked grabbing my laptop.

"Yea!" He said

I opened up my laptop and connected to the wifi. I went to Google and clicked Netflix. I scrolled through the movies until we found one.

"What about Hercules?" I asked. "That's my favorite."

"It's mine too!" He said.

I clicked that one and we shared headphones. I rested my head on his shoulder and his on my head. He was so cute.

Ashton's POV

She rested her head in my shoulder and I rested my head on her head. It was quite comfy. She was a really nice person. She was funny, chirpy and very cute. We just sat there and watched Hercules cuddled next to each other. It felt right...I know that sounds crazy but you know when you meet someone and you have that connection like you've known them forever? Well I have that connection with her. I don't know if she feels the same but I hope she does.

The movie ended, and a few hours had passed. We've been talking about ourselves and just getting to know each other better. She didn't tell me anything about her past, I didn't either. She didn't need to know, not now at least.

"How many hours left?" she asked me tiredly, while a small yawn escaped her lips.

I checked the time, we still had about 13 hours left.

"About 13 hours." I stated sighing. She groaned in response.

"Why don't you sleep. It's gonna be a long time before we get there?" I said wrapping my arm around her. She accepted and snuggled back.

Within minutes, she was asleep.

Lily's POV

I felt a hand grab my waist, then another grab my throat. I tried to turn to see who it was, but I was locked in their grasp. I screamed but that only made the person grab tighter. I could barely breathe. As every second passed I could feel myself getting weaker and weaker. Before I knew it, I blacked out.

I woke up to find myself tied to a chair with a bandana around my mouth. I finally saw the person...my step-dad.

He walked over to me and slapped me across the face. I winced at the pain. I started to scream but nothing really came out, only muffled noises. He walked behind me and placed a knife against my throat. I began crying hysterically.

"Shut the fuck up." He yelled into my ear. I nodded in response. He took the knife from my throat and grabbed my arm. He sliced my wrist.

"Am I doing you a favor?"

I couldn't do anything or say anything. I just stayed there. Silent.

"AM I?" He screamed

I finally choked up and nodded.

"Good." He said smiling. "Let me ask you something."

"Mhmmm" was all I could say

"Do you wanna see your parents?" He said fixing his grip on the knife

"LILY?" I heard a voice, and my body being shook.

I shot up and saw a worried Ashton looking at me.

"Are you okay? You we're flinching and crying in your sleep. What happened?" He said way to fast.

"Just a bad dream that's all." Not wanting I get into it

"Do you wanna talk about it." he said wiping away the tear on my cheek.

I didn't answer I just looked away zoning out. I'm assuming he took my silence as a no. He engulfed me into a hug and rubbed my back soothingly. I didn't want to answer, just not right now at least. One day he'll figure me out and leave me just like everyone else...

OMG GUYS IM SO SORRY I DIDNT UPDATE FOR LIKE 2 WEEKS!! I've been really busy with school shit and I haven't had the time to write. But I promise that I'll be better with the whole updating thing!
