Y/n's pov

A few weeks have passed as I settle in at the London headquarters. No explosions or dreams have happened, but I did have some random visions of being inside that golden Palace and beautiful landscape with Thor and Loki. I have managed to get along with most of the Avengers although I was extremely awkward to start off with. I get on well quite with Peter, Thor, Nat, and especially with Loki, despite the whole dead best friend thing. And somehow every time I finish working out Loki is always there to help me up the stairs. Not that I complaining at all of course.

"Thanks Loki, I honestly don't know what I would do without you." I say as he carries me close to his chest, I swear I get closer every time.

"I mean, I have resisted the urge to 'yeet' you back down the stairs. Consider yourself lucky." He looks at me with a mock threatening glare.

I laugh and lightly punch his arm, disarming the glare into his own chuckle.

"Seriously though Y/n, I have become your personal chair stair lift haven't I?"

"There is no going back now, once a chair, always a chair." I pat his head as he smirks and rolls his eyes.

"That doesn't even make sense Y/n."

"Have I ever made sense?"

"Never." He lowers his head, locking into my eyes. Oh my god, when he looks at me like that I just want to grab his face and... You know, normal friendly stuff. But, look at his soft lips, ugh I could die right now.

As we reach my door he sets me down, I somehow suppress the urge to kiss him and jump into a hug instead. At first Loki freezes, but soon his arms wraps back around me, I feel them seeping warmth into me as he sways from side to side, rubbing my back. I sigh and sink my face in his shoulder, why does this feel like home?

Eventually we both pull away and nervously smile at each other. I notice how red Loki is as he rubs the back of his head.

"Um, I will see you tomorrow then?" Loki asks.

"Yeah, see ya Loki, thanks again!" I slip into my room before I can embarrass myself and lean my back on the door, replaying the hug in my mind as butterflies whizzed in my stomach.

3rd person pov

Loki watches as Y/n shuts their door. Footsteps draw his thoughts away from the door and towards Thor walking towards him. Loki panics a little, not really wanting Thor to see Loki around Y/n. It's not like he thinks Y/n is embarassing, it's more like Thor will tease Loki for treating them so well. So he runs to his room, slipping through the door and taking a deep breath, feeling a little giddy.

"Y/n, that being..." he whispers, "they are too adorable, I wish I could kiss them." He slowly sits down on the edge of his bed, quietly smiling to himself, he hasn't felt this good in a long while. Then  loud knocking pulls Loki back to reality again. He groans and shouts, "Thor, for the last time! What did my door ever do to you?"

"Sorry brother, I am too excited." Thor throws the door open and struts in, sitting next to Loki.

"Oh gods. Whatever is it now?" Loki rolls his eyes and sighs with annoyance, he can't stand to hear another rant about some pathetic Midgardian discovery.

"I knew you liked Y/n!" Thor beams.

"What do you mean?" Loki swishes his head to Thor who wears an annoying brother face, "Of course I like Y/n! I think we could return to being- I mean become great friends."

"Ha ha, you know that is not what I meant" Thor shakes his head.

"Then what? How could you mean anything different?"
