Y/n's pov

After a good few hours of chatting and getting to know Nat, I start to feel more relaxed and also glad I left my home. Maybe this isn't as bad as I thought it was. We sit in a comfortable silence, making me look around the room a bit more. It certainly looks like a hidden room, more like it was designed to hold objects not people. Still it's a nice contrast to the chaos of the lab bed, a place where my mind can be slowed down.

Then a loud banging on the door disrupts the sense of calm we created.

"Come in!" Nat winks at me.

Thor comes in with a tray of food and some new clothes. It looks rather hilarious seeing such a tall man slouching, carefully maneuvering that tiny trolley through the door. His eyes are way too focused for the job as he sticks his tongue out in concentration. Me and Nat exchange looks and giggle.

"Lady Romanoff, your dinner is on the table. I will eat with Y/n, can't hurt to get to know them more." Thor parks the trolley, his shoulders more relaxed than when I last saw him. Good, Loki must be alright enough to be left alone.

"Thanks Thor. Y/n, it was nice to chat to you, you take care of them thunder, I'll see you tomorrow Y/n!" She waves and runs out.

"Hello Thor, about my name-"

"Y/n, it's alright, would you like me to call you Y/n still?"

"Yes please."

He slumps down on my bed and takes a deep breath. "Now, I am still trying to make sense of this... situation. But, I think it may be best to let you settle here before I overwhelm you with my questions."

He must have so many questions, I feel bad for him and especially Loki, what could possibly be going through his head? I guess it would really be like seeing a ghost. Although I probably have more questions than them both combined. Why am I even so worried about someone I met and who chased me in a snow storm? But it doesn't stop me from wondering how Loki is holding up.

"Wait, is Loki ok? He ran away earlier..."

"Loki was a bit panicked, he is fine now, I've managed to calm him down. I truly haven't seen him like this since mother died, but we have coped with that before."

"Are you sure he's ok? I assume he heard me confess my name."

"Yes he did, and he will be fine, don't you worry Y/n." I can see he is trying to change the conversation, the way he reacts and then quickly smiles, hiding his concern, I don't blame him really. He continues, "You can talk to him tomorrow, let's get you fed."

I eye up my plate and take a deep breath, "Good, I want something other than doritos." I chuckle, some conversations can wait until after food I guess.

"Ha ha, is that what the orange stuff around your mouth is?"

Of course I have doritos all over my mouth, you distinguished dingus. "Oh, um, yes... thanks." I wipe my mouth with my sleeve with embarrassment.

"No problem Y/n!" Thor then pushes a button on the trolley, quickly transforming it into a table and two chairs.

"Woah, that's cool!" I climb into the seat and bend my head down under the table and then back up. This day has been full of surprises.

"It is, I am still getting used to this strange Midgardian technology of Stark's" Thor chuckles.

Again, that word, what the hell is Midgardian? "Wait Thor, what did you say?"

"I said, I am still getting used to this strange Midgardian technology." He now looks at me with amused confusion.
