Y/n pov

It is tea time and I am craving a whole feast. Why are they taking so long to serve food? I guess the emergency meeting put a hold on things today.

I can't wait any longer, so I jump out of bed and fall over, forgetting that I have a cast on my leg. I honestly don't feel any pain at all. I get back up and put weight on my 'broken' leg. I'm literally fine, other than being itchy. I don't understand why people need casts for 6 weeks, probably for attention, idk.

A wave of ichiness tickles my arm, I punch the cast in frustration and start to try and rip my wrist cast off. Somehow, it isn't strong enough to stay on and I manage to rip it apart. This cast is pathetic, surely a place like this would make a durable one.

Anyway, I then stretch my freed wrist and start to tear the leg cast off successfully. After catching my breath, I quickly jump in the shower, fucking hell that feels good, I try not to scratch my skin off. And as usual, try not to take the weird glowing monitors off. I wonder if Stephen has noticed something, oh well.

I stretch out, dry and get changed, feeling so good, but I need food now! So I burst out of my room, speed walking down the corridor.

I can smell a lovely waft of cooking food, and I am instantly drawn to it, oh I could eat a whole house right now. As I start to follow the smell, I gain pace, almost to a run.

3rd person pov

Wanda is in the kitchen cooking spaghetti and meatballs, humming a little tune while Bucky is reading a book.

Stephen is chatting with Bruce about Y/n.

"I am starting to get suspicious about where Y/n came from. I haven't analyzed the readings from that night, but they seem to be recovering quickly, especially if they could get up themselves, even if it was just sitting up!" Stephen clunks his teaspoon around in his mug.

"You are right, it is odd, Y/n can't be fully human, or at least they have subconscious healing powers." Bruce taps his glass before leaning in to Stephen, "Anyway, we need to focus on any sample that Steve and Loki might bring back from the mission, so I suggest you keep you get prepared to put your reseach on Y/n's explosions on hold." Bruce suggests.

"Alright, but I'm telling you, there is something both Y/n and the Odinsons are hiding, and I won't stop thinkning about it."

Bruce sighs and shakes his head as Wanda waves her hands, setting up all the plates on the table, "Dinner's ready!"

Y/n pov

I am sprinting to the dining area at this point. Gods, I love meatballs. My belly gurgles like a volcano, so I practically sling myself down the stairs and into my seat in a huff, "Hi guys, I was too hungry to wait for you to bring my food, so I decided to just get it myself."

"Y/n?" Stephen smacks his hand on the table in shock, "Why are you not in bed? Hold on, how did you get out of the casts?" His eyes widen.

Why is he making such a big deal? "I feel fine now, and you really need better plaster." Damn, Wanda, just dish it up already, my stomach is screaming.

To say that Stephen's jaw drops down to the pits of hell would be an understatement. "This is exactly what I'm talking about, Bruce!"

"Wait, were you guys talking about me?" I look to Stephen for answers.

He sighs, "Yes, we think that—"

"Mostly, Stephen thinks that."Bruce corrects.

I don't really want to deal with people speculating more, so I give Wanda a pleading glance for food, and she smiles, receiving my desperate message.

"Hey, just leave Y/n alone, I'm sure you are all hungry." She serves up as everyone else comes in and sits down. Everyone but Steve and most importantly my boyfriend. Is Loki my boyrfriend? We haven't really labled anything yet, but we kissed, so we can be just friends right?

"Where are Loki and Steve?" I ask.

"They are on a mission" Wanda waves her hand, producing that enchanting red mist, swirling loaded plates of yumminess into their places, "Now eat up!"

Mission? I hope they get on well, maybe Loki will find it easier to connect with the individually than in group settings.

Anyway I stuff my face to shut my stomach up, ok, I promise this is the last time I swear today, but it is fucking delectable. I slurp that spaghetti very quickly, burp it out and down my water. I look up from my now empty plate, why is everyone staring at me? "What? I thought you were accustomed to my eating style by now."

Tony clears his throat. "We are, but shouldn't you be in bed?"

Again, with all this bed rest nonsense, "Yes, but I feel fine, honestly."

Bucky chuckles. "But, as Stephen pointed out, weren't you in a leg and wrist cast?"

"They were," Stephen grumbles. "No-one here can rip a cast off with non assisted human arms. Tell me, how did you do it?"

"Um, I guess I was just messing around, pulling at it with a lot of force, and it ripped a little, so I carried on."

"Let's get an x-ray, asap!" Stephen stands up, lunges over and starts to drag me out of the kitchen before I can process his train of thought. Why the rush? I literally just got out of bed. I open my mouth to prtest but the determined look of Stephen's faces shuts me up, as we near the X-Ray room, I wonder, why is everyone so suspicious of my recovery? Am I missing something here?
