Love Me Now. (Book 1)

chapter 8:- Bliss is short lived.

Waking up on a Sunday morning I think I've had the best sleep in what seems like forever.

Stretching out I roll to see Ryder peacefully sleeping, his chest rising calmly. Looking at my phone I tiptoe out of bed heading towards the door.

Whilst having a shower, Josh had texted and wanted to catch up for a coffee, luckily when I left the house no one was up so I headed towards the door nit wanting to bump into Ryder with all his questions.

I mean last night was amazing but i just cant forgive that easily, nit right now nit until I get answers.

I text Josh to let him know I'm on my way, Josh wanted to meet at Maria's, it's a coffee shop just around the corner from the university.

Stepping into Maria's the fresh smell of coffee draws me in. Josh waves me over to the back corner booths.

"I've already ordered, hope you dont mind I got you a hot chocolate and blueberry muffin." Josh grins.

"Its like you read my mind, blueberry muffins are my favourite."

"Your welcome, anything for you."

I thought it would be awkward but its actually lovely getting to know more about Josh.
I realise we're both studying business and have a few same lessons. Josh even offers to pick me up in the morning so we can walk to class together.

Placing my cup down from swigging the last part of my hot chocolate, I look up to see Josh smirking.

"What's so funny?" I chuckle.

"Did you enjoy that? Your mouth seems to have liked the cream."

" Oh God. WHAT?! "

Josh moves his hands closer, picking up the napkin wiping away the cream from my mouth. My cheeks blushing in the process.

He lingers his hand on my cheek longer than expected.

"So what do you....   "

Before Josh can finish the door swings open and in walks Mia, Lucus and Ryder.

Josh's hand is still pressed against my cheek softly. I pull his hand away but it's too late Ryder has seen.

His eyes zoon into mine, anger radiating, his fist clenched turning white, pure jealousy in his eyes.

They all approach with Mia winking at me.

Ryder sits next to me, while Mia, Lucus sit on the opposite side by Josh  Ryder's hand moves up my thigh, closer and closer to my entrance, letting out a groan I move his hand away before anyone sees.

"How come you two are here? Sneaky little date is it? Didn't want to invite us ah?" Mia giggles.

'No" I say.

" No, shes saving that until next weekend, aren't you babe?"

"Ummmmm, yeah I guess".

Ryder just turns staring at me, his hand back on my thigh gripping it tightly while he whispers into me, " dont try and make me jealous, how can I show you I love you?"

We all stay around for another 30minutes or so before Josh has to leave.

"I'll pick you up at 8 tomorrow? "  Josh said getting up from the booth.

"What's this?" Ryder's questions.

"I'm taking Bee to campus tomorrow morning, showing her around. "

"Firstly her name is Bianca,secondly why do you need to do that when she can go with me or Mia?" Ryder glares.

"Wohoooo, calm down bro, I'm only taking Bianca cause we have the same lectures in the morning."

Josh leans over Ryder, kissing my cheek with a goodbye.

" I think someone has a soft spot for you babe." Mis chuckles.

"No  No, we're just friends" I state.

"Friends who are going on a date next week, yeah he so wants you Bee."

"Its just a meal, doesnt mean anything by it, I'm really not interested in a relationship. " I say.

"I think otherwise, I'll help you pick a sexy dress, you'll soon have him eating out the palm of your hands, after all you said you havent had any for like two years after your dick of an ex left you! "

My head bows with embarrassment, with Ryder knowing I've not had sex since him but also Mia talking about my ex not realising his sitting right next to me.

With that Ryder huffs and storms out, once again leaving me feeling all alone.
