after the flight home, sierra found it difficult to talk to mitchel. they werent dating, but they kissed and slept in the same bed. they werent together, but mitchel still found himself being protective over sierra. he often checked in on sierra as she slept in her bed, watching out for the chance of connor coming back. thank god for the key he got from cas. and sierra also found herself getting jealous whenever someone hit on mitchel wether it be in his instagram comments or in real life.

they hadnt adressed anything about the trip, and they also hadnt discussed what they were. even if they were a they.

now sierra sat in her class, writing notes and wishing for class to be cut early. she threaded her pencil through her fingers as she listened to the teacher mumble the knowledge. things she already knew, from personal expireirence.

when the bell rang, sierra packed her things and started walking to the door, knowing mitchel would be patiently waiting for her at the other side.

"hey braid boy," she exclaimed happily, walking up to the man and grabbing his hand. some other students cooed, one of them recording. mitchel just smiled and looked the girl up and down, grabbing her hand that she put out for him.

"heyyy," he mumbled, pulling her into a hug. they hugged for a second, trying to ignore the loud cheering and teasing. sierra smiled at the man before they started walking.

"how was class? learn anything new?" mitchel inquired, wanting to know more about sierra. sure, they were best friends before their fling now but they still didnt know much about eachother. whenever they were together they'd talk about the band, current things, and how ugly the people around them were. but they never discussed things from their past. especially sierra, her past was dark. dark enough for her to not want to tell mitchel.

so whenever they started to talk about their past, it was mostly just mitchel talking about his childhood. but sierra enjoyed learning about mitchel. she had spent years of her life obsessing over him and his brother but she could only know certain things, now that she was friends with them she was able to know all about him.

they now sat in mitchels car, talking about life and, clinton. apparently mitty and clinton had been having some problems recently, and it was making it really difficult for them to work. the last time they were at a recording sesh, they started biccering and then took it to another room. christian, jesse, pat, and sierra had been left alone and all started to compete with eachother. they were competing over everything, awaiting mitch and clantus to come back so they could continue.

but they were gone for forever, eventually sierra made the executive decision to go into the room they were quarrelling in and grab them out. everything was mostly back to normal, but sierra picked up the sense they had unfinished business.

"hes just been being a bitch recently, im not sure why." mitchel complained as sierra fixed her makeup in the mirror, mittys hand placed on the inner of her thigh while he drove. sierra nodded her head to show she was listening, but her mind was also focused on other things.

"what are we? are we even a we?" sierra deadpanned, the question just randomly popping into her mind. uncomfortable silence followed, mitchel was caught quite off guard. to be fair, sierra was too. she didnt even think about it before she asked him, the thought came in her brain and immeaditely came out her mouth. sierra sat back and sighed, realizing that she might have just fucked everything up between her and mitchel.

"well um-" he was kinda flabbergasted to be honest, he didnt excpect the question.

"like, i have feelings for you, i think at least, but i dont think i really am ready for anything yet," she quickly explained, trying to avoid eye contact with mitch. they were both really speechless, i mean; what is there to say in this situation?
