2 weeks after sierra came to new york, claire and sierra were sitting in claires room, hanging out and doing sister things.

new york had helped a little, but sierras depression had been taking over her recently. all she looked forward to was those occasional facetimes sierra and mitty shared.

"charger?" sierra asked, looking to her sister next to her on the bed.

"nightstand," claire responded before turning back to her phone. when sierra opened the drawer, she saw a lot of things. mainly a few books, hairties, and a vibrator. but no charger. when sierra lifted up a book, she saw a prescription pill bottle. sierra lifted it a bit and turned it to see the label, it was some of claires xanax prescribed for her anxiety.

sierra bit her lip to think what she could do. leave it in the drawer, or take it. that was pretty much it. after a few moments of hesitation, sierra shoved the bottle into her hoodie pocket. and then found the charger underneath another book!

dinner was nice, it sat in sierras stomach as she layed in bed at 10 pm, scrolling on her phone. the bottle of xanax layed in her nightstand drawer, as she thought about popping a pill.

shes been sober for a month now, but the pain is craving the pills.

her brain said fuck it and took 5 xans, remembering how high her tolerance is. without thinking she stood up and walked downstairs, hungry even though she ate not very long ago. the drugs hit her like a brick as she started walking down the stairs, and thats when reality hit her. shes been sober for a month. her tolerance probably dropped. and she just took 5. fucking. xans.

sierra lost her sight and started getting lightheaded as she tried to turn around to sleep out the high, but she stumbled and felt herself fall backwards. last thing she remembered, she was laying on the floor while her sister screamed and ran over to her.
