A couple of days later, Sapnap called everyone together again to discuss how they were going to handle the hostage situation.

Tommy and Tubbo didn't want to be seen continuously visiting a building that had once been owned by Dream, and so the group was spread around the living room of Sapnap's apartment. Among the group was Sapnap, Karl, George, Tommy, Tubbo, Quackity, and Sam.

Sapnap had told them he wanted to find out more about who Technoblade was holding as a hostage, but didn't bother mentioning that he wanted to find out whether it was Dream or not. He already felt insane mentioning it to Karl and George, and he didn't want the rest of the group to get their hopes up if he ended up being completely off base. He wasn't even sure they'd take him seriously if he shared who he thought it was.

After explaining the situation, Sapnap turned to Tommy and Tubbo to see what information they had been able to find. But Tubbo's face was already flushed pink, and Tommy was doing his best to avoid eye contact as he muttered, "we couldn't really find out much, no one really knows anything. The only people who ever get to see the hostage is Techno and Schlatt."

Sapnap let out a frustrated sigh, he had expected as much. And George shook his head as he said, "I told you, Sapnap. This is going to be next to impossible."

But Sapnap wasn't willing to give up, they would just need to figure out another way.

"Well then," Sapnap spoke slowly as he tried to think over possible plans in his head, "if we can't get any information from Techno or his team, then we just need to try hacking into the security cameras and figuring it out on our own."

He looked over at Karl, who was already shaking his head as he responded, "I don't think that's going to happen. They've really been tightening up their security over the past few months, it's almost impossible to get into any of their systems now. They must have known we would've tried."

Sapnap had figured as much, because it's exactly what he would have done. But he still felt disappointment settle in his chest, and he ran a hand down his face as he tried to think of another way.

He lifted his eyes towards Quackity just as he heard him say, "I hate to say it, but the only way you're figuring out who that hostage is is by walking in there yourself."

George scoffed almost immediately before replying, "and how do you propose he does that? He can't exactly ring the doorbell and say 'I'm just here to visit whoever you have locked up in your basement.'"

Before Quackity could respond, Sam spoke up, "he has a point. The only way we're doing anything about this hostage is by going in there ourselves. But Technoblade knows all of us, and we'd be dead before we even stepped foot on the property. Our team is good, but Technoblade has way more people working for him than we do."

Feeling like they were getting closer to a possible solution, Sapnap offered up, "okay, so then we use people that Technoblade doesn't know."

"Technoblade runs the largest mafia group in the area," George responded, "he knows everyone, Sapnap."

The few shreds of hope that Sapnap had been desperately clinging too were quickly being ripped from his grasp. He leaned back in his chair, huffing out a frustrated breath.

It was Karl who spoke next, offering up the only viable solution thus far.

"I think I might know someone who can help us."

Sapnap's eyebrows rose, and he quickly turned to face Karl, who was seated on the couch beside him.

"She's the leader for a group that works across the country," Karl continued, "there's no chance that Technoblade knows about them."
