Chapter 32

As Nikki laid Moira down the bed he started kissing her lips roughly. He reached her shirt and started unbuttoning it. She grabbed his face and broke the kiss.
"Stop, wait a second."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to see your eyes."
"You like them?"
"No... I love them."
"Oh... I love yours too. I love the way you look at me."
"Oh Nikki, I love you."
"I love you more." Nikki kissed her again.

Moira opened her eyes and realized it was all a dream. All these years she couldn't forget his eyes. They had tattooed themselves on the inside of her brain. Then she got mad at herself for dreaming about him for the third time this week. She changed into her casual jeans and a leather jacket with a white t-shirt underneath the jacket. She made her way to the car. Then all of a sudden she got a call from Vince.
"Moira, I have something important to tell you."
"What's happening?"
"National security want us to stop the investigation."
"What, why?" Moira was really close to reveal everything.
"The victim was a secret agent from the American government."
"What? Where do you know that from?"
"Mick told me. He had a meeting with National security."
"Oh man, I was so close to-"
"I know, Moira. I'm sorry but we have to do it."
"As you say, Vince."
"Hey, you can visit your sister or even come with me and meet my girlfriend."
"Why not both? I'm gonna call Stacey to come with me."
"Perfect. We're going to Timothy's."
"Okay, I'll visit Stacey first, then we'll come later."
"Okay, till later."

Moira, Stacey, Vince and his girlfriend Heidi spent the afternoon talking. Then Nikki and Tommy appeared. Stacey had called Tommy to come but maybe he had other plans. When Tommy and Nikki got to their table, Moira got slightly pissed off.
"Hey guys, oh and you are?" Tommy noticed Heidi.
"I'm Heidi. Nice to meet you."
"She's my girlfriend." Vince added.
"Oh wow, nice to meet you too. I'm Tommy, Stacey's husband."
"Stacey? You're married?" Heidi said surprised.
"Yes, I am."
"Oh and you are?" Heidi asked Nikki.
"I'm Nikki. Tommy's best friend." Moira kept her ear on everything Nikki said. Tommy sat down next to his wife while Nikki sat down next to Moira. Vince looked at Nikki with a slight resentment.
"So, Nikki... What do you usually do?" Heidi had no idea that if she knew Vince earlier she would be dead.
"Nothing yet."
"Oh, hard to get a job?"
"No... I-"
"He got out from prison months ago." Moira explained.
"There's no need to answer questions asked towards me." Nikki said irritated.
"I'm making sure you're gonna tell the truth this time."
"It's none of your business what I'm gonna say."
"Wait, you have been in jail?" Heidi asked curiously.
"Yes, I have. Thanks to Moira of course." Nikki looked at Moira teasingly.
"No need to thank me. I was doing the right thing." Moira smiled to herself.

Heidi started examinating Moira and Nikki. She noticed how passionate Nikki looked at her every time she teased him. Several looks later Heidi started to think of them as teenagers who are in love with each other but don't know how to confess it. Out of nowhere Heidi started laughing.
"What's funny, dear?" Vince asked.
"I'm sorry but may I ask Nikki and Moira something?"

"Go ahead." Nikki said.
"Did you guys use to date?" Heidi asked a question Moira could never expect to hear.
"No." Moira answered.
"But why is all that irritating and teasing you do to each other?"
"Maybe because we know each other since years." Nikki said.
"Oh wow, so that's what you do instead of... you know?"
"I don't think I get it." Nikki started wondering.
"Are you guys in love with each other?"
Moira almost choked causing Nikki to grab her shoulders.
"Moira, are you alright?" Nikki almost freaked out.
"I think so." Moira got shocked by his response.
"Heidi, what are you doing?" Vince asked.
"I'm sorry I didn't want to-"
"It's okay, I'm fine." Moira admitted.
"Are you sure you're fine?" Nikki asked worried.
"Yes I am. Why that worried?"
"Oh, I-" Nikki accidentally poured some hot tea on his thigh.
"Idiot. Look what you've done." Moira started looking for handkerchiefs. When she found some in her bag she started soaking up the tea from his pants. Nikki groaned at the pain and the pleasure Moira was causing him.

"I don't think it's that bad. At least it's just tea. Are you alright, Nikki? That tea was hot." Moira said.
"I think so." He couldn't stop thinking about the moment she pressed him.
"Now that's interesting. A detective and a criminal at one place acting like teenage lovers." Stacey suddenly said.
"Stacey, don't talk like that." Moira cut her off.
"What? It's not like I'm lying though."
"I knew it'd be a bad idea to take you with me." Moira said to herself. Unfortunately, Stacey heard what she said.
"Excuse me? You're gonna say that after everything I've done for you?"
"You got married for Nikki's best friend."
"Yo, girls. You forgot we're here." Tommy said.
"Shut up, Tommy." Moira cut him off.
"Don't talk to him like that."
"Stacey, she's your bigger sister. Don't-"
"Oh come on, Vince. Don't get involved."
"Stacey, don't talk to Vince like that."
"Adams sisters, you forgot Heidi's here." Nikki opened his mouth at last.
"What do you mean, Sixx?" Vince got irritated. Since Nikki killed his fiance, he got really overprotective.
"Chill out man. I was trying to calm them down." Nikki knew what he was doing.
"Oh, calm them down."
"What's your problem, Vince?" Nikki tried not to get up and end his life right there.
"You are."
"Vince, I don't know what he's done to you, but maybe he's trying to make it up to you." Heidi finally spoke.
"I will never forget what he's done."
"It's like I'm sorry for that." Nikki said viciously.
Vince got up and grabbed Nikki's arm. They ended up outside the restaurant fighting. Moira decided not to get involved with that.

"Moira, is that true?" Heidi asked worried.
"Why do you think I arrested him years ago?" Moira said. Meanwhile, Stacey and Tommy were out trying to stop the fighting.
"Vince didn't tell me anything about it."
"It's hard for him to talk about Sharise. But the time he had to be undercover was a nightmare. He had to act like Nikki's business partner and friend in order to get him."
"Poor Vince. What about you and Nikki?"
"It's a story for another day."
"But did you use to be with him or?"
"No, I didn't. And thank God. I would have been dead or have watched him kill other people."
"Wait, what?"
"Don't be fooled by his good manners. If you were dating Vince earlier... I don't know if you would still be alive."
"Should I be scared of him?"
"As long as I'm here you shouldn't be. I got this."
"What if he tries to kidnap you and rape you?"
"Never. I won't allow that to happen."
