Kalen – chapter 3
I walked towards Kendra's chambers; I was assigned to train her one day every week by the Queen. She was concerned about Kendra's skills and wanted her to learn the best as much as possible. I passed by nobles and ladies of court as a strolled pass the garden and the grand library. Nodding to each of them as I passed by to show respect. And finally, I was at the doors of Kendra's chambers, I knocked softly, hoping I wasn't to early. I stepped back as Ally came out, a breakfast tray resting in her hands. "she's coming, don't worry! You are an hour early though!" Ally chuckled, the plates shaking in her hands, I turned around towards the door and waited, hiding my red face from view.
10 minutes later, Kendra walked out. Her dark hair tightly braided back. She was wearing armour from her chest all the way to her foot. Her safety was an important, so the queen provided her with the best of armour in all of Esmond. I knew how much she hated it though, she complained about it every lesson. "Great your ready, let's go now so we can make most of this time to improve your swords play" I chuckled as she nodded. We continued our walk-in silence. Once we were at the door of the training room, the guards opened the door and we walked in, and retreated our swords from the sheathes and took our positions.
