Kendra – chapter 4
We slashed our swords together and I pushed as hard as I can, but Kalen shrugged me off and aimed at my knees. I pivoted and blocked his target with my sword. Looking right in his eye for a second. He let me push him off and I bought the sword to meet his neck. "Why do you always let me win?" I complained. I was frustrated he always let me win, as if he knew I wasn't good enough to fight him.
"You need to learn by levels, Kendra" he teased.
"Well then let me have a go at your hardest level and we will see how much I improved!" I insisted, smiling a bit to brightly as I panted.
Suddenly, he slashed his sword to mine, and kicked me back then he swung his left arm around my waist and put the sword in his right hand to my neck fiercely. He pulled my back to his chest. His nose brushing my hair as he whispered, "Check mate!" I was utterly shocked. We stayed in that position for a minute or two and then he let go, he sheathed his sword as he walked out. Leaving me shocked and red in the face.
After a while of standing in the training room, I finally left and went to my chambers and called for Ally. She brought in coffee and biscuits, but I refused so she ate them instead. I told her about what just happened in full detail and once I was done, she sighed dramatically. "Was he angry?" she asked.
"I really don't know!" I replied in a concerned tone. Ally clicked her tongue and stared at her coffee.
"Don't worry, he doesn't hate you, go to him tomorrow in your armour and ask him for a fight he finds suitable. It will make him happier!" Ally instructed. And so I planned on doing so early in the morning.
