You've got different groups at school. You've got the gamers, the stylish-girls, the musicians, the late-comers, the crazy friends, the gossips, the movie watchers and then you've got us. The nerds. The students who walk in Harry-Potter-sweaters and read in their spare time. The students who solve Rubik's cubes within a minute are not satisfied with a normal grade, but always need to get the best grade.
It's not like I choose to be a nerd, I just am. I always loved reading, loved reading Harry Potter in particular. In middle school, I became friends with other Harry-Potter fans, also nerds. I loved to share my thoughts with them about the books and the movies. We started to read during the breaks. We started to read wherever and whenever we could.
Then one day my friend Nova brought a Rubik's cube to school and solved it. I also wanted to be able to solve it. So I bought one myself and started learning how to solve a Rubik's cube. I learned how to solve it in two days, back then I was slow, it took me five minutes to solve it. Now my record is 57 seconds, but I want to reach 40 seconds this year.With us reading, solving Rubik's cubes, wearing Harry-Potter-sweaters, and getting great grades, we are the biggest nerds in the school.
I wasn't always a nerd, in elementary school I tried to fit in with the others, to belong. I live in a small village, everyone knows each other. When you say one bad thing the whole village has heard about it after a few days. In those years I was a girl who is completely different now. Now I'm a nerd and I am kinda proud about that. Then I was this average girl who did everything just like everyone else.
With all this said I can move on to the story which is about me, Jennifer. I'm fourteen years old and I am obsessed with Harry Potter, but you probably got that part. Nova is my best friend. Dana is my friend from elementary school. I don't see her that much, but I don't care about that, we were both different back then. In my friend group are also Farah, June, and David. They are the other nerds in my class I was talking about earlier. I don't know if you need to know anymore before I start the story... Well, let's just start.
