Today is an important day, we need to choose a profile, which means that we choose the subjects that we want to have next year. I prepared myself to choose, I know what I want and I'm going for it. Strangely, I didn't talk about the profiles with Nova. We were too busy with our homework yesterday that we forgot about the profiles. It's not a big deal. I'll just ask her what she's gonna choose when I arrive at school.
I arrive at school 10 minutes before the lesson starts. It's late for me, I'm always here 20 minutes before the bell or at least 15. But it is okay. I hurry to my locker and put my books, which I don't need for the next three hours, inside of it. When I make sure my phone is in silent mode I hear the first bell ringing. It is 5 minutes before the lesson starts. Usually, I'm in the classroom when the first bell rings, so now I need to hurry.
I end up in a stream of students. I look at my watch, only three minutes 'till the lesson starts. I want to talk to Nova before the lesson starts, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna make that. With only two minutes remaining I walk into my classroom. The teacher is already here which forces me to go sit next to Farah which isn't that bad. Nova already sits next to June. They are talking and smiling. I wish I heard what they were saying. I start a conversation with Farah, but it is hard, cause she doesn't talk often. After two minutes the second bell rings which means the lesson is about to start. The teacher closes the door and starts his talk about the history of old folk in Mexico.
After three hours filled with history, math and English the bell rings to let everyone know that it is break time. I walk straight to Nova who is now talking to David. We walk to our table where we always sit during the breaks. It is close to the stairs which lead to the classrooms on the second and third floor. Finally, I have the chance to talk to everyone. I ask my friends what they are gonna choose as their profile. Nova says she is gonna choose a nature profile. Farah smiles and also says she is gonna choose that profile. So do David and June. I look sad. I feel sad. All my friends choose another profile than mine. I want to choose a social profile that is kinda the opposite of a nature profile.
After three more hours filled with chemistry, French, and art, We (me and my friends) walk to the place where we need to fill in our chosen profile. And after that, it starts to sink. My friends are not gonna be with me next year.
