Chapter 15

What

Is

Happening?!

Charlie, the freaking player of the whole school, the hottie where every girl dreams of, the bad boy who makes all the girls giggle, I think you got my point, is kissing me. How?!

It's good, though. It's amazing. It's even better than eating a jar of Nutella. Believe me, that's good. But after it, you're not feeling well. But it's worth it! This is better than that. Mostly because this doesn't make me feel sick.

Charlie stops and looks into my face. His face is still close to mine and I feel him breathing on my face.

"You taste good," Charlie says and he smirks. Oh damn, his face, his smirk, it's too much. "You too," I say and I smile. "So, you take the bad kissing back?" he asks. I chuckle. "Yes," I say.

"Good," he says. "Let's do something for the project," he says. Why? My mind is still on the kiss. Why does he have to break that moment by talking about school? I am the Nerd, right? Why does he have to be the Nerd now?

I nod. "Sure." Charlie grabs a piece of paper and a pen. "What are the things we have to do?" he asks. I make a list of all the things that we need to do. "So, what can you do?" he asks.

"You can choose, I understand everything," I say. "Okay, well, I don't," Charlie chuckles. "Then you have to pay attention in the lessons," I reply and I laugh. "I'm not a Nerd," he says. I frown. The way he said it was like it is a crime to be a Nerd.

It isn't.

Right?

"Can you please do this project?" Charlie asks. "All of it?" I ask shocked. "Yeah," he replies. "I promise I'll try to pay attention in the next lesson," he says. I roll my eyes. "Fine," I say. "Thank you," Charlie smiles.

"I think you should go now since there is nothing left to do now," Charlie says. "Uh, y- yeah, I guess," I stutter. Charlie opens the door of his room and I walk back to the front door. Alone. I walk to my house.

Did he kiss me? Did he mean it? He sounds so mean and distant.

~Time Skip~

It's Friday. Charlie hasn't talked to me since that day in his room. He hasn't even looked at me. I almost finished the project, I wanted to make it all in one day but it's too much for one person. That's probably why we have to make it in pairs. The only problem is that my partner doesn't do anything.

He probably has something better to do. Like playing basketball or gaming with his friends. Or kissing other girls.

The bell rings and I walk to my locker. Nova stands in front of it. "Hello Muffin," she says. I laugh about the fact that muffin is actually a sweet thing to say to someone. Only in my mind, though. Physically I'm in pain.

"Hi Nova," I say. June and Farah stand behind her. "Can you please step aside? My locker is here," I say. "Oh, your locker," Nova says. "I didn't know that," she continues. "You literally were here so many times, last year, to wait for me to get my jacket," I say.

"Short memory, I guess," Nova laughs. "Yea, sure," I reply. Nova doesn't move. "Can you move?" I ask. "No," Nova says.

"Come on, since when are you so mean and not nice? And why? You guys were my best friends," I state. June chuckles. "Yeah, we wère," she says. "Until you chose your stupid society profile and now you're in another class without us and you're having parties without us," she adds.

"Is that still why you're acting so weird?" I ask. "I already told you, the party didn't mean anything, it wasn't even fun," I say. I walk away. I don't want to hear anything from them. I'll get my jacket tomorrow. Or wait- Monday.

I grab my bike and drive home. Luckily, tonight I have something fun! I'm gonna watch Fantastic Beasts with Felix. I really wanna watch it.

After dinner, I take my mom's coat and go to Felix's house. I knock at the door and Felix opens it. "Hey," he says. "Hi," I smile. "Come inside," he says and he lets me in. "Thanks," I state.

A few hours later, the movie has come to an end and there is no popcorn left in the bowl. "Oh my Gosh, the movie was amazing! I love the plot twist in the beginning," I say. "Yeah, same," Felix chuckles.

"I have to tell you something," Felix says. I look into his eyes. "I had never watched the Harry Potter movies before I met you," he says. "What? But you told me you were a big fan," I say surprised.

"Yeah, I just wanted something to talk to you about," he says. "But I did love the movies, so I'm a fan now," he smiles and I smile back. "And that's what matters," I chuckle.
