POV Alex

I open the door of my house. Jenn walks into the house and curiously looks around. She put her hair in a messy bun which looks awesome. She smiles when she sees some photos of me and my sister.

"Alex, darling, is that you?" my mum shouts from the kitchen. I walk to her and Jenn follows me. "Yeah, hey mum," I state. "This is Jenn, she broke up with her boyfriend so she's here to cry," I say. My mum walks toward Jenn.

"So, you're Jenn," she states.

"Yeah, and we are going upstairs, okay?" I say embarrassed. My mum smiles. "Of course, pretend like I'm not here," she says. I take Jenn upstairs. "I'm sorry for my mum," I state awkwardly.

"No, it's okay. She seems like a lovely mum," Jenn says. I can't believe how this girl can still be nice after a freaking toxic relationship! "She is," I say. That probably didn't sound very cool.

Although, I don't think Jenn cares about that. She's different. I don't have to pretend that I'm someone who I'm not. I can be who I am.

Jenn takes a seat on my bed. I quickly push away some mess. I didn't expect anyone to come into my room today so it looks very bad. Jenn doesn't seem to care about that.

"What do you want?" I ask. "I'd do anything," I continue. "You know, at the moment I only want to cry or eat a lot of cookies," Jenn states, and I chuckle. "We don't have cookies but we can make some," I suggest.

"For real?" Jenn asks happily. "Yeah, sure," I state. Jenn smiles which makes me smile. I missed her smile, her real smile is so much brighter than her fake smile.

I take Jenn downstairs again, to the kitchen. I push my mum out of the kitchen and close the door. I grab some eggs, milk, flour, and some other ingredients. "Do you how to make cookies?" I ask.

"I only know how to eat them," Jenn says. "And how to break them into two equal pieces, I trained a lot," she says. I laugh and Jenn giggles. "I guess we're just putting everything into one bowl at the same time, then," I state and I grab the milk to put it into the bowl.

Jenn grabs the flour and puts it into the bowl. Half the flour blows up and creates a white cloud above us. It sticks in my hair and I try to get it off. Without success. Jenn laughs at me.

"You know it's mean to laugh at someone!" I state which makes Jenn laugh even more. I chuckle. I grab an egg and hold it above her head. "Don't you dare," Jenn says and she looks at the egg above her head.

I grin deviously and crack the egg above her. The slimy egg falls on her head and slowly slides down. Jenn looks at me with an angry, yet playful face. "You just started a war," she states.

Jenn grabs an egg and cracks it on my head. I feel the slime sliding down my neck. Jenn laughs at me as I grab another egg but accidentally drop it. The floor, which was already covered with flour, gets a shiny layer on top of it.

Jenn and I both laugh. I look at the egg box, there are none left. "Uh- You didn't put any eggs into the bowl yet, did you?" I ask. Jenn shakes her head and we both start laughing again. "Then we'll bake cookies without eggs," I state.

We finish the cookies and put them into the oven. Jenn comes close to me and takes her hand through my hair. "You are not a stupid late-commer, you know," she says. "I'm not?" I state.

"Nah, you're actually very sweet and cute when your hair is all messy and sticky," she says. "I'll take that as a compliment," I state and I smile.

I hear a knock on the door. "Alex, can I come in, I want some lemonade," a sweet little voice says. I open the door and a four feet tall girl with two blond braids walks in. "This is Emma, my sister," I say to Jenn.

"Alex, can you make me some lemonade?" Emma asks me. She's only six years old and she can't reach the lemonade because mother always puts it on the highest shelf. I nod and I make Emma some lemonade.

"Are you baking cookies?" she asks. "Yeah, I'll bring you one when they're done, okay?" I suggest and Emma happily nods. She grabs her glass and walks away.

I really love my sister but I never tell anyone about her. Jenn is the only friend who knows about Emma. I turn around and look into Jenn's beautiful eyes. "Wow, you're so sweet to your sister," Jenn says.

"Thanks," I state. "She's really cute," she states. I nod. "Yeah, she's amazing!"

Suddenly, Jenn starts to laugh. "What?" I ask. "I didn't know mister Alex had a weakness for his sister," she says. "How pathetic," she continues sarcastically. I smile awkwardly. "It's really cute," she says.

It's really cute? Not she's really cute?! Does that mean she thinks it's cute that I care so much about Emma?! I proudly smile.

The oven beeps and I grab the cookies. We both quickly grab one and eat it. Although they're still too hot, it tastes amazing. "That's what you get when you put love into your cookie," I state with my mound full of cookie crumbles.

Jenn laughs and we both eat some more cookies. I bring a cookie to Emma's room who eats it directly and sighs satisfied when she ate the whole cookie.

"I'm sorry but I promised Felix to do a Harry-Potter-Movie-Night today," Jenn says. "Oh, okay," I say. Actually, I don't want her to go. "I really enjoyed this, though," Jenn continues. I weakly smile.

"Thank you," she says. "Any time," I state. Jenn stares at me for a few seconds and then decides to hug me. I hug her back and there we stand for a few seconds in a very comfortable hug.

I lead Jenn to the door and she walks outside. I look at how she walks down the street. Yes. I think it's true.

I love her.
