Chapter 99

1 year later.

,,There you are," I said when I saw Ruby.

,,How do I look?" she asked nervously.

,,Like a beautiful woman who is about to get married," I answered.

,,Really? I think I look too fat in this dress," she said as she adjusted her wedding dress in front of the mirror.

,,You look great, now go outside and marry the man of your dreams," I said with a grin.

,,Will you accompany me?" she asked.

,,Of course" I answered while we both slowly walked outside.

It was a small party, but about 60 people were out there, all waiting for Ruby.
The theme suited Ruby.
The more colorful the better.
Everything was in bright and cheerful colors and even her wedding dress she had sewn herself.
She had poured colorful paint over her dress until it looked like a pattern.
I thought she was crazy at first, but it suited her and it looked really creative.

,,Ready?" I asked as we stood in front of the gate that would open any moment.

,,No, and you?" she asked nervously.

,,Neither" I admitted and took her by the hand.

When the gate opened, all the guests stood up and looked at us.

,,How embarrassing," whispered Ruby.

I gave her a slap to convey that she should keep her mouth shut.
Jones was standing by the altar and he was looking at Ruby so enamored that I was almost jealous.
There was no ordinary music playing in the background, oh no Ruby really wanted live music from her favorite rock band.
All of Jones' and Ruby's friends from college were there and even Jones' parents were sitting right up front.
He was really a nice guy and he treated Ruby like a queen.
When we got to the altar, I stood next to Ruby as a bridesmaid while we waited for the ceremony to begin.

,,Hey," Ruby said to Jones.

,,Hello, Mrs. Daniels," Jones said with a grin.

,,I'm not a Daniels yet," she said with a grin.

The pastor cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.

,,We are gathered here to celebrate Ruby Bloom and Jones Daniel's eternity," he began to say.

It's hard to believe she's really getting married.
I am so happy for her.
I got to know Jones better over the last year and Ruby was right about him.
He treated Ruby the way she deserved.

,,Do you take Jones Daniel's Ruby Bloom to be your wife?" the pastor asked.

,,I do," he said with a proud smile.

,,And do you want Ruby Bloom?" the pastor started to say, but Ruby interrupted him.

,,Yes, I do," she said and rushed to kiss Jones.

Everyone in the room burst out laughing and so did I.
The pastor looked a little annoyed, but he said afterwards.

,,They can take the bride now...well I think they know what to do" he said.

Everyone in the hall clapped and congratulated them.
Ruby was beaming with happiness and I could even see that she had tears in her eyes.

When we all went outside to the garden and everyone was busy eating, I tried to find Ruby among the crowd.

,,Congratulations!" I said and jumped into her arms when I found Ruby.

,,Oh my god, I'm married" she said.
