Chapter 90

,,Mommy?" Hope asked me as she ate her sandwich.

,,Yes, dear?" I asked.

,,There is this boy who is teasing me at school," she said.

,,I beg your pardon? What boy?" I asked.

,,His name is Andy and he goes to my parallel class," she explained.

,,What does he do exactly?" I asked.

,,Well, he's nice to me most of the time, but as soon as I play with other boys at recess, he gets mean and doesn't talk to me for a long time," she sighs.

I smiled.

,,Honey, this Andy guy has fallen in love with you," I said.

,,Ew, in love? No, then why would he tease me?" she asked.

,,Well, that's what boys do," I explained.

,,Boys are stupid," she sighed.

,,Yes, they are," I said with a laugh.

,,Thank you for listening to me, you are the best mom," she said and hugged me with her little fingers.

,,I love you Mommy," she said.

,,I love you too, now go to school and this time try to do something with Andy at recess," I said.

,,No or he'll think I'm in love with him," she said, wrinkling her nose.

,,And are you?" I asked.

,,Of course not!" she said with wide eyes while blushing.

She probably got that trait from me.

Hope walked out the door and Mason came in a short time later.

,,Guess what, a certain Andy is in love with our daughter," I said.

,,What? But she's only 7," he said.

,,So what? It's cute," I said.

,,If this Sandy does anything to my Hope, I'm going to kick his ass," he said, coming up behind me and hugging me from behind.

,,First of all, his name is Andy and secondly, Hope is a smart girl, she knows her limits," I said.

,,She is indeed a smart girl.
What did we do to deserve Hope?" he asked.

I snuggled back against him and leaned my head back.

,,I don't know," I said.

I woke up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat and in a hell of a lot of pain.

It was all just a dream and never in my life have I woken up as disappointed as I just did.
This dream seemed so real.

My stomach hurt so much that I felt like I was about to die and my head was spinning.

My first thought was that something was wrong with the baby and immediately my chest tightened at the thought that something could happen to Hope.

,,Mason," I screamed in pain.

He woke up immediately and flipped on the light.
When he saw me, his face went pale and you could clearly see the fear in his face.

,,What's wrong? What's wrong?" he asked anxiously.

,,My stomach Mason...something is wrong," I said, sobbing.

He jumped up from the bed and put on his pants and helped me up.
I was still in my nightgown, but at that moment that was the least of my worries.

,,It's going to be okay baby, we're going to the hospital now," he said as he lifted me up and carried me out in his arms.

He put me in the car and buckled me in.
He also got in and drove off as fast as he could.
I screamed in pain and fear.

,,We'll be right there, baby, don't worry," he said.

,,I am in pain," I said.

,,I know baby, hang in there, we'll be right there," he said and drove even faster than before.

He had ignored all the red lights and we must have been flashed 7 times.

,,Mason!" I screamed and pointed to my underpants.
Blood was rushing out of my underpants and my pain was getting worse.

I could see how scared Mason was and that he had tears in his eyes.

,,It's going to be okay, I promise you," he said.

I was crying hard and trying to sort out my thoughts, but I couldn't.

,,Britney! No stay with me." Mason said before my eyes went black and I fainted.
