Chapter 29

I got ready for our date, Mason slept meanwhile and I picked out a pair of blue jeans with a plain t-shirt.
While still straightening my hair and pulling out some eyeliner, I sat down next to Mason on my bed and I wanted to wake him up.
He looks so peaceful and sweet when he sleeps.
I looked at him for a while and looked at some of his tattoos on his arms.
He had an infinity symbol tattooed on his wrist and there were snakes tattooed on his broad shoulders.
I loved his tattoos, it looked so sexy on him.

,,Stared at enough?" Mason asked me in a sleepy voice with his eyes still closed.

,,I didn't mean to" I started to say, but I couldn't think of a good explanation.

,,It's okay baby, I can't take my eyes off you either" he said and I blushed.

,,Get up or we'll be late" I said and threw a pillow at his head.

,,I'm already awake" he said.

,,Where are we going?" I asked.

,,That's a surprise," he said with a grin.

,,Whatever you say," I gave in.

,,You look beautiful," he said.

,,You too," I said.

,,I wouldn't say that if I were you," he said.

,,Why not?" I asked.

He came very close to me so that our faces were only a few centimeters apart.

,,Because otherwise I can't promise you that I won't drag you back into this bed and tear your clothes off your love," he breathed.

I got a tingling sensation all over my body and I suddenly got really hot.

,,And we don't want that, do we, Britt?" he asked, kissing my neck.

I got goosebumps and my skin started to glow.
I nodded breathlessly.

,,Let's get going then," he said with a grin as he pulled away from me.

He can't get me hot first and then just stop.
That's torture.

,,You're mean," I said.

,,Don't worry, we have the rest of our lives to do this," he said.

The rest of our lives?
Does that mean we'll stay together that long?

,,Mason?" I asked.

,,Yes?" he asked.

,,Is it possible that you know Carla for some reason?" I asked, and his eyes got big.

,,Why would you think that?" he asked.

,,Because Ace mentioned it once," I said, and he stiffened.

,,You shouldn't believe everything he says," he said.

,,But I also had the feeling that you already knew Carla," I said.

,,You're wrong," he said.

,,Is there anything I don't know? Have you slept with her?" I asked.

,,No, Britney, let it go and don't ruin our evening," he said.

I didn't want to upset him because otherwise we would just argue, but I had to find out what everyone knew but I didn't.

,,Okay, then I believe you" I gave in.

,,Thank you, and now let's go to the car" he said.

We walked down the hall and got into his car.
I love Mason, but I can't trust him for some reason and I don't want to.
I want to trust him, but I can't.
Too much has happened, but I'm going to find out why he acted so weird and what it is about Carla.
