Stefanie's POV
As I'm walking around in a field I think of how did I get here and I realize that it's a dream.
"Stefanie?" I hear uncle Stefan, of course it's a dream because we talk almost every night.
"Uncle Stefan" I say while looking at him and we smile at each other.
"Is everything ok?" He asks me "I'm scared uncle Stefan, I'm scared everyday that I'm going to die because of my blood being weak. I'm scared that I'll never be human. How do I relax my thoughts besides writing down in my diary?" I ask him
"I know you're going through hell right now Stefanie but you just gotta push through it. Burn the pain down and rise through it. I know you can do this because you've made it this far, why stop now? You have so much to offer the world, we all know it. You're capable of so much. You'll be ok in the end." Uncle Stefan encourages me and I hug him and he hugs me back. I can only hug him in my dreams and it hurts to know that. When we let go we sit down on a log.
"Thank you, I needed that. It's just been so crazy lately. You know being 15 isn't all roses and sunshine." I tell him
"And I'm always here to talk and I'm always there. More than you know, you're never alone Stefanie. I can promise you that." He assures me and I smile at him.
"Are we close to getting you back?" I ask him to change the subject. "I don't know anymore to be honest but I know Bonnie can do it." Uncle Stefan answers
"Is life ever going to be simple?" I ask him "I hate to say it but it just gets more complicated but I know you will rise above. I'm sure about that" He tells me
"Thank you uncle Stefan, I needed this." I thank him "I'm always there for you kiddo. Even though I'm not really there, I'm there." He promises me and I end up waking up.
"Uncle Stefan is right, I can do this. I can rise above, everything's going to be ok." I tell myself out loud, I can do this.
