Stefanie's POV
I get dressed in blue jeans, green shirt sleeved shirt and blue ankle boots. I make sure my daylight ring is on, that used to be mom's when she was a vampire but gave it to me. Dad turned back into a vampire to help me through it and protect me better. I wish he didn't because I know he hates it and wants nothing more to be human but I couldn't even talk when he turned again. I just hope we can both be human.
Once I get downstairs I already start my day seeing mom and dad kissing, awesome.
"Hm, morning" I point out that I'm present. Mom stops and looks embarrassed but of course dad is impressed with himself.
"Hm, morning sweetie, did you get all your sleep?" Mom checks because if I don't they don't let me go to school because they are worried I will... anyways, I need good sleep.
"I did actually, all hours needed." I tell her and she looks relieved and so does dad.
"Good, we can't have you miss school anymore. You're teachers are noticing that we're lying about something." Mom mentions to me
"That's because your mother is an awful liar." Dad teases her and I roll my eyes.
"I am not" Mom sticks up for herself. "Remember that time you lied to Stef..." Dad stops himself, it's hard for him to talk about uncle Stefan, I mean he was his little brother. I couldn't imagine how hard it is on dad without him.
"Here's your blood for the morning Stefanie." Dad changes the subject and mom looks down. I need blood more than dad to keep my levels correct. He hands me the blood bag and as I'm drinking my 2 year younger than me little brother Caleb comes down. He looks just like dad with his eyes too. I also got dad's eyes but got mom's features.
"Morning Caleb" Mom says to him "Hey" He pouts
"Another fight with Lucy?" I ask him, that's his girlfriend who has red hair and fair skin but blue eyes. She is beautiful, I don't know how he got her to go out with him to be honest.
"Yes, she wants me to go to this stupid party with guys that hate me. No thanks" Caleb complains and I roll my eyes.
"Dude come on, show some respect to your lady. They'll love you more when you do." Dad informs him and mom and I roll our eyes together.
"It's not just that Damon. Caleb, honey just go, she will appreciate the gesture and plus you might have some fun." Mom encourages him
"A parent encouraging their son to party. Wow, you never see that nowadays do ya?" Caleb jokes and his best friend's, Sam Halloway's, car pulls up.
"Get in the car asshole!" We hear Sam yell and Caleb rushes out but stops.
"Stef you coming with us?" He asks me "Mackenzie's picking me up today. Plus his car stinks" I point out "Oooh princess, later loser" He messes with me and runs out.
"How's Mackenzie doing with her boyfriend?" Mom asks me
"Not good, still fighting and her mom wants her to break up with Ben." I inform mom
"Oh boy, is Mackenzie going to than?" Mom asks "No idea, she keeps on going back and forth about it."
Than I hear Mackenzie's car and she runs in the house.
"Hey little miss vamp, you ready?" Mackenzie asks me with her blonde hair against the door. "Ready, bye love you" I tell mom and dad while hugging them.
"If anything happens call us." Dad reminds me "I will, bye" I promise him and run out the door with my black bag. I'll be fine, it's going to be fine.
