"This is Jeon Jungkook, CEO of Seoul Higher View. You must pour all your skill, energy and talent into protecting him from all these attacks."
My head snaps up to meet eyes as bewildered as mine.
"You-"
"Do you know each other?"
***A week earlier*...

The second Hoseok takes over, I'm off to my apartment. I promised him I'd put twice as much effort in finding out who's ruining his life. And that's exactly what I intend to do.
I get sent to my work email all the info collected from interrogating the criminals.
I'll compare what they've said so far.
Around ten am, I've been sitting on my couch, downing three large cups of coffee, reading and reading, listening to recordings, watching interrogation tapes.
I've confirmed once more that I was supposed to die, I'm still supposed to die.
The criminals have nothing in common. They're not even notorious hitmen. No trail. Nothing. This criminal is way too good. I have nothing that could give up the slightest bit of information.
Nothing.
Except-
Except our prisoners in custody. It's a long shot, and kind of inspired from movies. I mean no sane cop, detective or agent would do that. But I'm going to.
I pull out my phone and dial Jang Hoon's number. My eyes are set on the first criminal I caught. The other one is way too injured to even walk at this point.
"Hyejin? Are you okay? Aren't you supposed to sleep during the day?" Jang Hoon sounds seriously concerned.
"I'm okay, I slept enough yesterday. I need to ask you a massive favour." I let out, my finger tapping on the table nervously.
"What is it?"
"I need to help Lee Kija escape. No one can know except you and the captain. So that it looks more real."
"Wait what- ?" I nibble on my lower lip, the knot in my stomach slowly growing. This is my only chance.
"I need to make him believe he's escaping and that I'm helping the man who originally sent him." I try again firmly.
"Why." Jang Hoon's firm tone takes me off guard but I keep my call. I need to do this.
"Because. It will lead me to a trail, some clues. I have nothing, so far. I can't risk more lives, I can't risk Jungkook's life, use him as bait until I get answers. So get that Seokmin guy to replace me for a few days-"
"You are not getting on such a mission. Out of the question. It's too dangerous. I'll send someone out-" I scoff, and close my eyes, trying to calm the frustration.
"Do you think someone will be as crazy as me and accept such a mission? Because I don't. So let me do this. Please. I'll come over, talk to you and our captain to plan it all out." I make sure to sound sure of myself.
