I unlock the apartment and set my satchel on a chair, drained from the hard day at work. Ellie should be coming home really soon, so I'll just prepare dinner so that she can rest when she gets home.
She's been working so hard lately and I just really want her to relax. Not to mention how she's been forcing me to be okay with this Jungkook and Hyejin relationship thing.

I guess she's right. I mean I haven't seen my sister this happy since...ever. I don't think I've ever seen her that happy.
It must mean something.

I'm just still terrified with the idea of her sacrificing herself for Jungkook. Jungkook is a great guy. He is. But no one is worth that much.
My sister's life?
No one is worth that much.

After an hour of cooking I set the dishes on the table and set up chopsticks, bowls, glasses. Everything is ready right when she passes the door. Her tired face lights up when she sets eyes on me, and I mirror her smile, walking to her.

We both keep silent and she wraps her arms around me. I hug her back, loving the feeling of her embrace. She's always loved me for who I am, just like I love her for who she is. I love her with all of me.

"Was your day okay?" I ask and she nods silently. "I prepared a hearty meal for you to eat and regain your strength.

The smile reaches her eyes and we set at the table, digging in all while telling each other about our busy day.

"Honey?" She looks up from the rice she was struggling to capture with her chopsticks.

"Yeah?" She grabs a spoon and I watch as she takes the spoonful of rice that wouldn't stay between the sticks, a satisfied glance on her beautiful face.

"I've been thinking..." I study her face before going on. "I would like you and I to take two weeks off. And go... I don't know...to Russia?"

She chokes on her rice and I worriedly walk around the table, tapping her back regularly. I hand her a glass of water, and frown, concerned. She manages to regain her composure before looking up at me, a shy smile playing on her lips.

"What?"

I smile this time, knowing she heard me, but she wants to hear it again to make sure she's not dreaming.

"I'm taking you to Russia." I say more confidently and she springs from her seat, wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Jin, I love you." She breathes and I sigh in relief, holding her. I'm a happy man. The happiest alive.
