Chapter 13: Reset

Dati, gustong gusto kong nakikitang napipikon si Zandro sa lahat ng pang lalandi, pangaasar na ginagawa ko. I like his face more when he looks at me sharper, like anytime he's just going to wring my neck. Sobrang laugh trip kasi! And it feels so good toying with the almighty Zandro that every girl wishes to have.

But now? I feel like fainting anytime as I got my eyes locked on him. Standing in front of our gate with a cold sharp eyes is Zandro not saying anything, just staring at me quietly that is making me uncomfortable and with a weird feeling of being scared.

Hindi ko alam anong gagawin ko; nag flash back lahat ng ginawa ko kanina sa campus tapos malalaman ko na fake news lang?! Kasama na ba ako sa grupo ng mga Marites na naniniwala agad sa chismis?!

He took a step closer to me and my initial reaction is to take a step back, hindi ako makahinga ng maayos and it feels weird that I feel so scared. There's something in my tummy that I couldn't explain, hindi ako mapakali.

Natigilan ito nang umatras ako, his mouth were slightly opened. I gritted my teeth trying and begging myself to calm down.

"You really want to break up with me?" sa loob ng mahabang katahimikan.

I bit my lip as I try to face him again... ngunit mabilis din akong umiwas, tila napapaso sa tingin nito.

"Well..."

Nataranta ako nang bigla uli itong humakbang papalapit lalo sa akin. I could feel my insides churning, as I fisted my trembling hands.

"Breaking up is well.. I believe a two way decision. If you want to break up with me you have to beg for my approval first before I let you go."

I frowned as I managed to look at his damn face, sinamaan ko ito ng tingin dahil parang nagpantig ang tainga ko sa kagaguhan na sinasabi niya.

Did he just say that I have to beg?

I sarcastically laughed in front of him. That foreign feeling I was feeling earlier? Nada.

"Gago ka pala eh. If a girl wants to break up with you then you got to respect her decision. That I believe Mr. Castillo is just a basic code of being a gentleman."

And he took a step closer, invading my privacy, napasinghap ako ng maramdaman ko na bumangga na ako sa gate namin.

"Gentleman huh? Well if that's the case, I am far from being one."

"So beg for my approval if you want to end this."

"Hellooo? Earth to Dani?!"

A hand was waving in front of my face, mabilis akong kumurap at lumingon ng masama kay Ria.

"What?" wala sa mood kong tanong. Pinaglaruan ko ang bote ng beer sa kamay ko para makaiwas sana sa mala showbiz reporters sa gilid at harap ko.

"Grabe ang sungit? Di bagay??? Ganda ka?" Si Taina. Kung normal na gabi 'to, baka dasalan ko na ang iniinom niyang beer at magtalakan kami buong magdamag but now?

Hinilot ko ang sentido ko, naalala ko ang nangyari kanina with Zandro. Sumasakit nanaman ang ulo ko!

I want out.

And obviously, that high and mighty Alexandro do not want to.

Gusto ko na ngang makipag 'break'! Iba na kasi ang pakiramdam ko. It's like my body is telling me to run since that night... under the mango tree.. with the moonlight shining on his face.

Napalunok ako. Hindi naman ako shunga para hindi malaman kung ano 'to. I keep on denying it but when Zandro was in front of our house with that cold sharp eyes pasted at me. Natakot ako oo, but not in him.
