After a few hours of thinking about it I decided to meet Percy in the park after I finished work for the day, if only for my own curiosity.

When I saw him he was sitting on a bench with his head in his hands, looking down at his shoes.

Walking over to the bench, I stood in front of him with my arms folded across my chest.

He looked up slowly, letting his eyes wonder across my body while his cheeks took on a slight pinkish hue.

"I didn't think you'd show up...." He muttered under his breath

"I almost didn't. What do you want Weasley? Or should I call you Weatherby?" I could hear the annoyance dripping from my voice

His eyes went wide, his entire face turning a bright shade of crimson.

"Percy is fine...." He whispered

"Alright, what do you want Percy?"

"I wanted to apologize, I over reacted earlier. I don't doubt that you deserve the job, you don't seem like the type of person that would accept a position you didn't earn. I'm sorry for assuming you used your relationship with your grandfather to get the job. I never meant to hurt your feelings or make you cry."

He clearly felt bad, he couldn't even look me in the eye!

"This is the second time you've assumed something about me due to my family Percy, how many chances am I supposed to give you?"

"I don't deserve another chance at being anything to you, I know that, but you deserved an apology."

I took a seat next to him, putting my purse in between us on the bench.

"I'll forgive you for your assumption, you're not the only person to assume that today. I can't really say I blame you, I'd probably assume the same thing if I were you. Though you could've just asked instead of thinking so little of me."

"I don't think that little of you Y/N. You're smart, caring, thoughtful, understanding, not to mention absolutely beautiful." The last compliment came out as more of a whisper, it was barely audible.

I didn't want to embarrass him any further, choosing to not make the compliment a big deal even though my stomach had just done a back flip.

"Was there anything else you wanted to talk about?" I asked

"Yeah, I'm sorry for not writing you back. I got your letter, I just didn't know what to say to you."

"I just assumed you were busy, I didn't think anything of it. You work really hard to achieve whatever it is you want Percy, you always have, I just figured you forgot about it."

"I didn't forget about it..... I can't get you out of my damned head." He stated under his breath, it was starting to get old at this point.... Even if it was adorable.

"If you're going to say things like that, could you at least make them a little more audible? It's getting hard to hear you."

His face went red again and he looked up at me in horror.

"You've heard everything I've said haven't you?" He asked, mortified

"I have"

When he went to stand up and walk away I couldn't help but giggle, he really is adorable when he's embarrassed.

"Percy, wait, why are you leaving?"

"I think I've embarrassed myself enough today, I'll just leave you alone now." He started walking back towards the Ministry

"What if I don't want you to leave me alone? I quite like your company actually."

He stopped walking but he didn't turn back around, he just stood there.
