Working Things Out

After a few seconds of consideration I decided to try and comfort him, if he didn't want me anywhere near him he'd find a way to let me know.

Walking over to the sofa, I sat down beside him and hesitantly wrapped my arms around him before putting my head on his shoulder.

When he did immediately push me away I wiggled a little bit closer, moving my legs up to rest across his lap.

"I'm sorry love, I didn't mean to hurt you." I whispered

I honestly wasn't expecting him to forgive me as fast as he did but I wasn't going to complain about it either.

Letting out a frustrated sigh, he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and kissed the top of my head.

There had to be someway I could make it up to him, the question was how? What did he want? What could I possibly talk about that would make him feel better..... hopefully smile?

I went with the first idea that popped into my head:

Wedding Planning!

I'd originally wanted to have our wedding at the Burrow but he immediately turned down the idea, he didn't even want his family AT the wedding.... Forget having it on their property!

We'd picked out the day already, June 10, 1997, it's the 3rd anniversary of our first date, it might've been a Tuesday but that was just fine with me.

The problem I was having was that Percy is VERY picky when it comes to things like this, he wanted everything to be perfect!

While I wanted to have a small wedding, he wanted to invite a bunch of people from the Ministry.... His reasoning? It was good for our careers.

He was specifically talking about people like the Minister, Dolores, and other people with power and influence.

Given the people he wanted to invite, it couldn't be something like his parents backyard either, it had to be more extravagant than that, which was unfortunate for me.

I hate big crowds but it was his wedding too and he was willing to compromise on other aspects of the wedding, just not this.

I'd only found one venue that I liked that would fit what he was looking for.

Pulling away from our little cuddle session on the sofa, I stood up and headed into the bedroom to grab the pamphlet I'd found.

"Where are you going? This is a weird way to try and get me to forgive you if that's your objective here." He sounded confused

Before he could ask any more questions, I was heading back to the sofa and returning to the same position we'd been in before.

"I think I found a venue for the wedding, I don't know if it's exactly what you had in mind but I think it's close." I replied, handing him the pamphlet

"This is what you think will solve the problem? Wedding planning?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow at me

"No, but changing the subject might"

When he finally looked down at the pamphlet, flipping through it and looking at the pictures, he seemed to like it.

It had taken me forever to find this place, with its multiple ballrooms, it really couldn't hurt to at least show him.
