I'll start by saying that Percy's great at his job, he really is, he tries really hard to please the Minister for Magic, which isn't an easy task.
Come August 1995 I'd joined the Order and while I absolutely hated doing this behind Percy's back, I didn't have a choice.
While Percy had started getting suspicious, I was using the excuse of visiting my dad as a cover.
This wasn't technically a lie, as both Remus and Sirius are Order members too, but I was also omitting the truth at the same time.
Meetings happened regularly and were always at the same place:
12 Grimmauld Place.
On August 12, 1995, things in our relationship slowly started to change.
It was becoming blatantly obvious that we had two totally different views on what was happening in the wizarding world.
Percy was buying the Ministry's official statements hook, line, and sinker.
I, on the other hand, thought it was a load of garbage!
It may have been the fact I see Harry as a little brother or maybe it was the fact I'm Sirius's daughter and I'm 'prone to rebellion', either way, I believed Harry when he'd said that Voldemort was back.... And Percy didn't!
On the 12th, Harry had a trial before the Wizengamot.
He'd preformed the Patronus Charm in front of a Muggle, that Muggle being his cousin Dudley Dursley, 10 days prior.
I was informed by another Order member, Kingsley Shacklebolt, that the original time and place of Harry's trial had been changed at the last minute.
Informing my grandfather, I quickly ran to Courtroom 10.
Like Percy's father Arthur, I couldn't go inside the Courtroom, as I wasn't a witness, I could however stand outside in the hallway.
I got there just in time for Harry to see me stand beside Arthur before he had to go inside the Courtroom.
I stood outside the room talking to Arthur, anxiously waiting for the verdict.
"Is he doing ok? He doesn't acknowledge me much anymore, he doesn't acknowledge me at all anymore actually." Arthur asked, his voice was cracking, he clearly missed his son.
"He's good, he's trying really hard to make Fudge happy. Not any easy task by any means, but he tries." I answered
"He always was a hard worker"
"Yeah..... I think he just needs some more time. He was really upset after the fight, he'll come around, you just have to be patient. I know this isn't easy for you and Molly, but you know how stubborn he is."
I saw a small, sad smile make its way onto his face, he definitely agreed with me, Percy's unbelievably stubborn.
"He is" Arthur replied
"I know it's hard, I know you both love him, just try and be patient."
He let out a dry chuckle, which caught me off guard.
"Your dad loves you too, maybe you should be patient with him, he's really trying."
At first I was confused, why would he feel the need to tell me my dad loves me? Then it hit me....
He was talking about Sirius.
I'd grown accustomed to these comments by now, specifically from my cousin Nymphadora, I could now hear the words she'd said at the last meeting ringing in my ears.
