Jack jumped onto the porch, above all of the Timelords. Holding his arms above his head, he shouted at everyone, catching their attentions.
"Everyone, you have to get out of here! You aren't safe!"
His sister suddenly slumped, falling to the ground in a series of jerks. The Timelords began to crowd around her, murmuring sounds of concern. Jack leapt into the center, pushing everyone back.
"Stay away from her, she's dangerous!"
Every Timelord and other variations thereof backed away slowly as Jess stopped twitching and rose to her feet, her head hanging low. Jack's breath caught in his throat as she lifted her face to look at him. She grinned ear-to-ear, her black eyes gleaming.
Jess-- no, it was no longer her-- sniffed at the air and licked her lips. "We smell dinner. So much energy..."
She turned around to face the crowd of Timelords. "Which one of you is first?"
She spun slowly in a circle, examining the faces of those surrounding her. She unbuttoned her suit jacket and let it slip from her shoulders, to the ground. "Why don't we start with that tasty morsel right there? So much energy..."
Everyone gasped as she leapt at the Thane. The Empress screamed and frantically twisted the ring off of her finger. Before she could throw it, the Master grabbed his daughter and brought her into the Time Vortex. Chaos ensued.
Timelords rushed to their modes of transportation, the girl that was once Jess on their heels. Jack stood, frozen, his eyes stuck on the image before him. She tackled the Chocolatier and opened her mouth, the jaw extending past its normal gape and bit at his neck. The Chocolatier screamed in pain as regenerative energy began to swirl around him. Jess-- no, it wasn't her, he had to remind himself-- opened her mouth and sucked at the light, creating a vortex that sucked in the energy.
Jack blinked. How was this possible? So quickly everything had gone to hell. He brought a hand to his face and found that he was weeping. The Professor appeared at his side.
"Jack, do something! Only you can do something!"
"I-I can't."
he watched as his sister discarded the Chocolatier's body and turned to face him. Blood covered her mouth and shirt. She was shaking in fear, tears falling from her eyes.
"Jack, what is happening to me?"
He rushed to her, Vincent and the Professor runnign after him, calling his name. His sister wept in the swarm of madness around them as Timelords frantically left.
"Jack, help me!"
"Jess!"
Her back bent backwards and when she uprighted herself, her eyes were black once more. She smiled and shoved Jack on the chest, sending him flying with super strength. He hit a car and fell to the ground, gasping for the air that had been knocked out of him. Lacey and Nikki ran past with the Thane as they attempted to escape.
Vincent jumped infront of Jack. "Now, listen, you stop this right now!"
She cocked her head at him. "You foolish boy. You think that Tesseract is going to protect you? You are mightily decieved."
She lifted her arm and lightning shot from her fingertips, striking Vincent in the chest. He doubled over and a scream could be heard. She turned away from him and sought other prey. The Professor rushed to Vincent as he fell to the ground.
"Vincent, no!"
"Professor, is that you?"
The Professor wrapped his arms around Vincent. "Yes, it is me."
"My visual feed has been disconnected... Professor, she knocked out Life Support."
Tears rolled down the Professor's nose, splashing onto Vincent's face. "Toxic gas is pouring in, Professor."
"No, Vincent. I'll get you out of there." He fished in his pocket for his sonic device.
"Professor, don't.You know it could fail."
"I can't just let you die."
"At least I'm not alone. You are here. You know, in a way I am not afraid. Would you send a message to my parents?"
"Yes, of course, anything for you, Vincent."
"Tell them I was a bloody good pilot."
The Professor laughed. "You will make them proud. Anything else?"
"Yeah. Tell Lacey and Nikki that while I did not know them long, I hold them in my heart as close friends. Same goes for Jack and Jess."
The Professor nodded. "I will be sure to tell them."
The next words sounded struggled. "Professor? You are my best friend. I only wish I could have actually met you."
"That would have been nice, Vincent."
A silence followed. One that was broken only by the sound of the Professor's sobs as he clutched Vincent tightly, rocking back and forth on his knees. Vincent Willaims-Pond was gone.
