Many years ago, long before the Time War even began, a young Gallifreyan stood before the Untempered Schism. The very escence of time itself pierced into the child's mind. The pain of all the knowlege overcame the child. But, refusing to run away like her brother, she stood there like a statue. Then, something that had never happened before, stunned her. She was pulled, right into the space and time continuum, and remained there until she was almost twenty.

The young Gallifreyan-- She called herself "The Nanny"-- found herself in London, 2009. She brushed herself off, collected her bag (which was bigger on the inside) and  umbrella, and began to walk briskly.

"Get out of the way!" A male voice screamed at her. She turned around, and was knocked to the ground as a man slammed into her. He swore and fumbled for the large piece of twisted metal he had dropped.

"Alonzo, it's up to you! My defabricator broke!"

Another man came running, carrying another large piece of twisted metal that resembled a gun. "I got him! He's not getting away this time!"

The young man-- Alonzo, she believed-- shot the gun, a laser launched itself into the air and The Nanny heard the unGallifreyan scream of pain.

Alonzo jumped up in the air. "Yes, I hit him!"

The Nanny stood and brushed herself off. The man that had caused her to fall stood and smiled. He held out his hand. She took it politely.

"Captain Jack Harkness," The man flirted. "And you are?"

"I am called The Nanny." She pulled her hand away.

"Funny, you sound just like an acquaintance of mine. He calls himself The Doctor."

She was taken aback, Jack could see.

"Do you know him too?" Jack questioned.

"Know him? Of course I know him! He's my brother!"
