I got back to camp with a bucket full of berries. "Your back and no Shane?" Amy asked.
"Yep and you should know that nothing ever happened."
"Really?"
"Yeah, really."
"That's unusual," she whispered.
"Maybe Shane aint' that bad."
I was around the fire, my body still freezing. Kaleb was sitting on a log with Carl and Sophia while they were telling eachother some stories about when they went to school. "Here darlin'," I smiled at Shane as a blanket fell over my shoulder and he sat on the log next to me.
"Thanks."
"No problem."
I then yawned the most fakest yawn anyone could ever hear.
"Someone's tired," Amdrea said.
"yeah, worked hard today," I said.
"Maybe you should go to sleep, we may be up early tomorrow."
I nodded and gave Shane a secret wink to get him to follow me for later.
Shane came into my tent. "It's been like an hour," I hissed to him.
"Sorry, I couldn't just slip away," he whispered as he zipped the tent up.
He leaned over me with a smile as I ran my hands through his hair. "I just don't like to be kept waiting," I teased before kissing him.
I felt his lips curl into a smirk into my lips as he started running his hands all over me. I gasped as his lips moved down to my neck. My tank top flew over my head as I worked on the buttons of his blue button up shirt. I pushed it off his shoulders and ran my fingers over his nicely toned abs. I was working on his belt when screams were heard from the camp.
"AMY!" I heard someone scream.
I threw on my shirt while Shane fixed himself. He ran out of the tent quickly and I followed. Walkers have invaded the camp. "Oh my god," I whispered as I grabbed a spare gun that was kept by my tent for emergencies.
I went to turn around until I was knocked on the ground. I screamed as a Walker fell onto me. I grabbed its arms, trying to free myself, as it tried snapping at my neck. Suddenly an arrow flew straight through its eyes and I pushed it off.
"You arlight?" Daryl asked as he helped me up.
I looked around to see everyone huddled in one place and all the Walkers were gone. I nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine."
I looked around and sighed in relief as I found Kaleb huddled with Lori and Carol. I looked back to Daryl. "Thanks," I whispered to him.
"No porblem."
By the next morning we were up in the heat moving around the bodies, the bodies of the Walkers or some of our people. Not many of our people got taken away but a couple, two I didn't know very well then...Carol's husband Ed.
I was dragging a Walker across the dirt as I tried to move it through towards Daryl's pickup truck. "Here, I got it," Daryl said as he moved over to me.
"I can handle it," I said as I tried lifting it.
Daryl rolled his nice blue eyes at me before he lifted it up onto the truck himself.
"I told you I had it."
"I saw you struggling."
I smiled lightly. "Thank you again."
He grunted before moving to get more of the bodies.
By the time night came along we lost a family that meant a lot to our group. They decided it was best to leave our group to survive on their own.
"They ain't gonna last out there," Shane said from behind me.
"Who can say we will either?"
"We have more than four people."
"Just more mouths to feed though huh?"
"When are we gonna finish up our long night?" he asked with a smile.
I crossed my arms while looking over at Daryl who was watching Shane and I intensly. "I don't know if we can," I admitted.
"Why not? I thought you wanted to."
"I did, I just...I don't know whjat came over me last night."
He looked down. "I git it," he said.
"Do you?"
"Yeah, I do, but if you really do want to you know where to find me."
I gave a nod as he walked towards the RV leaving me looking back at Daryl. TBC
