"Wanna hear a story?" Daryl asked after a while of us walking through the dark trees.
"Funny?" I asked him curiously.
"About me when I was younger."
"Really? You never talk about yourself."
He shrugged. "When I was younger...I got lost like Sophia," he started.
"Obviosuly they found you," I said but rephrased myself when he didn't say anything. "Right?"
"Nope, but after a couple days of hunger and wiping my ass with posion oak, I did find my way back, my dad was off with some waitress while Merle was in Juvie, no one even knew I was gone. But when I did get back I walked straight into the kitchen and made myself a sandwich. But the worst part overall was my itchy ass."
I giggled but stopped when he looked at me. "Sorry, that is a horrible story."
But I found myself laughing and he gave a small pitch of laughter in with me until a loud snarl got to my ears. Daryl instictivly stepped in front of me for mny protection but the walker couldn't hurt us.
"Son of a bitch," I whispered as I looked at the Walker hanging from the tree branch.
"Got bit, fever hit, world gone to shit, might as well quit,'' he read from the note nailed to the tree. "Dumb ass didn't know any better to shoot himself in the head."
I got closer and he started going nuts. "Cloest he's been to food," I commented.
I examned him closley to see the knawed on legs by other Walkers. "Damn," i said. After a few minutes I turned to look at Daryl.
"Come on, we still haven't gotton that far out."
"Can't leave him like this."
"Why? He ain't hurtin' no one."
"Daryl, it's cruel."
"No."
"Fine, let's make a deal. Ask me whatever you want and when i answer you take care of him."
He looked at me before sighing. "Do you still want to die?"
"What a good question," I said.
"Do you?"
I rubbed my arms and nodded. "Yeah, I do," I answered truthfully.
He rasied his bow and shot the Walker in the head. "Waste of the arrow."

When we reached the 'camp' of ours, Daryl grabbed my upper arm. "You should decide to live."
"Why?"
"'Cause we need you, all of us."
I smiled lightly. "It's hard to live anymore, after loosing everyone I love. Hell, I watched my best friend die earlier today," I said.
"I'm sorryy about her."
I shrugged. "Couldn't change it."
"But at least you have Kaleb," he said.
"For now...but you do know someday he won't be."
"Keep the hope in your mind, it helps."
"No it doesn't, I would be just lying to myself."
"And I'm still here, I'm not gonna go anywhere no matter how much you want me to."
"Good to hear that," I said.
"Do you want to know the reason?"
"The reason for what?"
"Why I did what I did back at the CDC?"
"No, I know you prefer Kate, I don't want to have to hear it though," I said and looked down.
"I didn't want to get close to anyone, Aly, if something were to happen to you I couldn't move on."
"You don't want to lose me? Is that what your scared of?" I asked.
"Yeah, it's a good reason with the shit hole we are living."
I leaned up and he flinched slightly as my lips touched his cheek. "I'm not gonna go anywhere, Daryl," I whispered before climbing up the steps to the RV.

When I woke up the next morning the men were already outside looking for Sophia. "What can I do?" I asked Dale, since he was the one closest to me.
He looked at T-dog and I did the same. "Oh my god, was he-"
"No," he interrupted. "Scratched it open while hiding from them. Daryl saved him."
I smiled lightly at the comment about Daryl. "I think I can do something, maybe, if we find a kit."
"Got here right on time," Lori said as she handed over a first aid kit.
"Who knew this place could save lives for once?" I asked.
"Rare huh?" she asked.
"Yeah," I whispered as I got down on the ground next to T-dog while opening the kit.
"Alright T, this will sting," I warned as I twirled the cap off of the Alcohol.
He grunted and moaned as I dumped a good amount on his open wound. "Sorry," I apologized as I started to clean the blood up. I let my eyes fall when I saw the blood infection. "LEt's get you taped up."
I slowly wrapped him up with gause before standing. "Dale," I whispered.
"What's wrong?"
He followed me to the front of the RV. "He's got a blood infection."
"Which means?"
"Which means he ain't gonna last without serious meds," I said.
"We can see what we can find around here," Dale said.
"It probably won't be enough, we need the official medication, not just simple pain meds."

I sat next to the RV as the sun was setting slowly, Daryl was sitting next to me just staring up at the sky with me. I stared into the ember as Daryl looked over at me. "What's going on through your head?"
"T-dog," I admitted.
"Why?" he asked in a some-what jealous tone.
I rubbed my arms slowly. "He's got a blood infection, he ain't gonna last long without hardcore meds."
He looked at me before standing up. I watched him move over towards his motorcycle and look in the compartment. He let the flap fall over it as he grabbed a plastic bag....a plastic bag filled with medicine bottles. I jumped to my feet and rushed to his side.
"Should've mentioned this earlier, I have my brothers stash," he commented.
I reached my hand in and giggled at the pills. "Exstacy?" I asked with a smile.
He rolled his eyes and took it from me. "Such a child,'' he muttered.
"It's funny," I said with a pout as he handed me some oxycycline (or however it's spelled).
"Merle got the clap on occasion."
I shivered at the thought and he smirked. "I could've gone my whole life without knowing the details," I said as I studied the lable. "But thanks."
"I don't need thanks."
"Yes you do, you could keep these to yourslef but chose to save someone else."
He shrugged. "Gotta make sacrifices these days."
"I killed my family."
He looked at me. "What?"
"I wasn't really at the airport when this all happened, hell I ain't even been out of Georgia. I was up in my room, watching my neighbors die from upstairs with Kaleb. I knew my parents or my sister wouldn't make it, they were too soft. So I just snapped on them....I couldn't let them live like this, I was gonna end kaleb too but-" My voice cracked. "I couldn't take seeing his brown eyes with so much fear," and that's when I broke down and fell to my knees in soft cries. "I'm a horrible person, heartless," I cried.
Suddenly arms were around me, lips were on top of my head. "No, your not a bad person."
"I killed them and they were not infected."
"That doesn't make you horrible Alyson," he whispered.
I burried my face in the crook of his neck and stopped crying. "Sometimes I do wish I would've opted out a long time ago, there's a part of me that wants to live but there's a part of me that wants to have my head bashed in because of what I did," I said to him.
"Just think, at least they are not in any pain, they won't ever walk with the dead, even be apart of the dead."
I wiped my eyes. "I'm so pathedic," I said with a sarcastic laugh.
"Not pathedic, human."
"Do we have rights to have humanity?"
"Yeah, we'll always have the rights to humanity, always."
I smiled and turned my body so that i was facing him and in his arms even tighter. "Why are you so nice to me? You always have been."
He shrugged. "We get eachother in a way."
"No we don't, we are too different."
"Oppisotes attract," he said.
"Are you saying your attracted to me?"
"If I wasn't you wouldn't be in my lap."
"True," I laughed.
"See, at least we can still smile, that shows how your humanityu is still in tact, with sincre smiles."
"Sincre means nothing anymore," I said softly. TBC
