"You did? When?" I asked incredulously.
"I couldn't sleep last night so I went out on the deck. Isadora joined me there and...she said that the stars looked beautiful. And...I told her...that they didn't look as beautiful as her...and then she kissed me..." he muttered, trailing off as his face turned an even darker shade of red, if that was possible.
"YES!" I jumped up and laughed, grabbing Sunny out of Klaus' lap and twirled her around happily as she giggled. "Does Duncan know this?" I asked, coming to a stop.
"Yeah, he saw us kissing." Klaus said. "And apparently he owes you $10? You were really betting on us?"
"Not only me..."
"What do you...SUNNY? YOU TOO?"
Sunny just smiled at him cheekily and then crawled over to give him a kiss.
Klaus laughed and picked her up. He turned back to me and asked, "And now about you. When are you going to tell Duncan you saw the D.Q. + V.B. inside the red herring?"
"In my own time." I replied calmly, but I felt my cheeks heating up.
Klaus just shook his head with a small smile on his face and said, "I'll go wake the Quagmires, you can check out the engine before we all fall off."
"Alright!" I answered, giving Sunny a kiss on her head and grabbing my ribbon from under my pillow as I walked out of the room.
