Duncan POV
Violet and I walked back into the room where Klaus and Isadora had started packing, and Sunny was very helpfully chewing on scraps in the middle of the room. All three of them fell quiet as they saw us holding hands. Violet's face flushed again and I smiled. She gave my hand a squeeze and let go, moving to help Klaus pack their things as I went to Isadora.
"I'm so proud of you," she whispered, grinning and elbowing my side. "I didn't think you had the guts to ask out the great Violet Baudelaire!"
"I can't believe you got asked out by the fantastic Klaus Baudelaire!!!" I whispered back, mocking her "fangirl" face and flapping my hands around.
"Oh, shut up," she scowled. "I'll just go ask Violet about what you guys did in there."
It was my turn to scowl. "God, Izzy, please don't."
"And why not? Didn't you start questioning Klaus?"
"That's different."
"Different how?"
I groaned in response, throwing my hands up. "You know what, go ahead and ask her."
"Thank you. I will."
She zipped up her rucksack, picked it up and walked over to Violet. "Hey, you done packing? Let me help you with Sunny's stuff." Isadora grabbed her hand and dragged her over to the other side of the room, sticking her tongue out at me.
I sighed as I zipped up my own rucksack, and walked over to Klaus. "Hey. I need some help."
