PARIS, FRANCE 🇫🇷Is there anything better than drinking strawberry flavored champagne while looking at what could be described as the best view in the world?
I'd really like to think not.
Aya on a daily basis loves being classy, but Aya in Paris spoke a whole new different level of class, one that I never even knew was in the book of existence.
Yes, we were in Paris!
Sadly, our beautiful, beautiful two weeks in Maldives came to an end. It honestly felt like a part of my heart was being cut off when Hafeez told me that we were leaving, but hearing that he was taking me somewhere else and not back home made me feel a bit better. We had a really great time on that beautiful island and I'm looking forward to going back because I don't think I will never get enough satisfaction of looking at the endless blue waters, the sands, the sunsets, and eating the amazing grilled fish our hotel had to offer.
Oh, and if you were wondering, yes, Hafeez kept this destination a secret too. I bugged and bugged him to at least give me a hint but obviously he did not! He just loves torturing me and cruising with my curiosity, but I couldn't hold any grudges because come on, he brought me to PARIS! Where in the world could possibly be better than Paris in terms of literally anything?
Again, NOTHING! because Paris is a universe whole and entire unto herself, hollowed and fashioned by history; so she seemed in this age of Napoleon III with her towering buildings, her massive cathedrals, her grand boulevards and ancient winding medieval streets, as vast and indestructible as nature itself. All was embraced by her, by her volatile and enchanted populace thronging the galleries, the theaters, the cafes, giving birth over and over to genius and sanctity, philosophy and war, frivolity and the finest art; Even the majestic trees that graced and sheltered her streets were attuned to her, and the waters of the Seine, contained and beautiful as they wound through her heart.
And to make things better, we were staying at one of the best hotels out there; the shangri-la. Featuring heated floors and marble bathtubs, an immaculate garden, indoor pool and panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower, the Shangri La is an extraordinary combination of rich Napoleon inspired design with contemporary Oriental features. You'd instantly feel right at home, thanks to the intimate atmosphere of the hotel, which is no doubt inspired by its origins. it was first built in 1896 as the home of Napoleon Bonaparte's nephew, and later converted into a hotel to share the prestigious culture of Paris in modern surroundings. All 101 rooms, and the hotels indoor pool, enjoy natural light, with amazing views of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River at your doorstep. It offers a chance to enjoy Chef Phillipe Labbe's Michelin-starred restaurants, L'Abeille and Shang Palace, With unique flavour profiles, exotic cuisine and exquisite attention to detail. the hotel is simply of Paris' greatest.
The feeling is just unexplainable, I don't have words to describe it exactly as it was and you wouldn't understand until you actually experience it yourself.
"......you're really lacking behind with your Instagram posts. The last picture you posted is like three weeks ago," Susie's voice boomed through my AirPods while I listened attentively as I was editing my Maldives Vlog and taking a sip of the absolutely tantalizing milk tea I had ordered to go with my French toast "people have already started talking, you know?"
I was at a small cafeteria that was a few blocks away from our hotel. Hafeez was extremely tired after overworking himself at the hotel's gym because according to him, he was starting to get out of shape, so he spent the entire morning at the gym doing an intense workout, and when he came back to our suite, he just threw himself on the bed and slept off, with the sweat on his body and even his shoes on. As much as that was disgusting, I couldn't get myself to force him to take a shower because I pitied him, I've never seen him sleeping that heavily in my life, and in all honesty, he looked as cute as a baby bunny, I even took a picture.
