NICOLE'S P.O.V
We finally reached the jail. They scanned us, making sure we didn't have any weapons or metal. Chandler and I walked down a concrete path and down some stairs surrounded by barbed wire. A police officer opened a door for us, inviting us into a room full of people in Orange suits, sitting in behind a glass with other people (probably their family) separated my the thin translucent wall. In the corner of the room I saw Felix twiddling his thumbs, awkwardly.
"Felix..." I whispered, anxiously. He looked up, smiling a bit, and motioning us towards him. I sat down in front of him, slipping my hand through part of the glass where I could grab his hand.
"I missed you." He whispered as I rubbed the back of his hand with my thumb.
"I missed you, too." I smiled, then the fear came back. My bloody mother laying on the floor. I was holding a murderer. I quickly pushed his hand off a bit, then got a seat for Chandler. Chandler came beside me and sat too. He had his hand on my leg, rubbing it, calmly. Probably trying to keep me sane.
"So, why are you here?" Felix looked up, his eyes darker than usual.
"We came to see you. I love you, Felix," I smiled at him, but he looked down at the floor,"You know that..."
"I thought you would want to kill me." He mumbled.
"Never. You're like a best friend to me." He gave me a weak smile, but never really looked up.
"Come on. Be a little optimistic." Chandler said to Felix.
"Shut your face, Chandler!" His voice raised a bit.
"Woah, dude. I was just playin' around." Chandler put his hands up in a surrendering motion.
"I've went through all of this and you think there is any way of me being happy?!? You must be the smart one out of the bunch, aren't ya?" Felix laughed, sarcastically.
The room was quite silent. Everyone stopped talking because of the yelling. Everyone was just...staring.
"What about, Nic, huh? How do you think she appreciates this? She came here to see you!" He pointed at Felix's chest. Felix's tear filled eyes, slowly made their way to me, noticing the water spilling out of mine.
"Nico-"
"No, no. Just..." I wiped under my eyes,"We can go if you want me to."
"No, I don't want you to... But he can!" Felix's eyes darted towards Chandler.
"I'm not going anywhere." Chandler stated plainly. Felix threw himself at the glass, his hands being smushed up against it as he screamed at him.
"GET OUT OF HERE! NOBODY WANTS YOU HERE!" His face was Crimson, the veins in his neck and face becoming noticable. He smacked his fists against the glass, furiously as guards came and pulled him back. He thrashed, his teeth snarling like a dog with rabies.
My eyes were wide in fear, this want the boy I knew. His spit flew at the window as he yelled and screamed. Chandler grabbed me, ripping me out of my chair and leading me to the door.
"Let's go." He whispered. I was coughing and crying at the same time as the yelling didn't stop. As my feet were out the door, one last deep scream of frustration boomed through the room, then the door slammed.
