CHANDLER'S P.O.V
Oh no..."Lay down." I ordered Nicole. She scrunched her face as she tried to force herself to go down.
"I'll help..." I whispered, holding her and easing her down onto her back.
She screamed sharply when she hit the metal of the roof.
"Where does it hurt?" I asked.
She pointed at her chest and rib cage area.
"Okay...this is gonna hurt a lot. More than you have ever experienced. You can scream."
She nodded. I placed my hand on her rib and pushed on it, applying pressure.
She let out squeals and cries.
"Shhh...." I tried to calm her, I could see the sweat beads forming on her face.
I suddenly felt the bone crumble beneath my fingers.
"I knew it..." I mumbled.
Nicole started coughing up more blood, it spilling out the corner of her mouth as she turned to the side.
I put her in my arms and held her close.
"Chandler..." She coughed. I didn't mind the blood gathering on my shirt. "What happened to me...?" She whimpered.
"You broke a lot of your ribs..."
"A-am I gonna die?" Her voice hitched.
A tear started rolling down my face at the thought,"....yeah..."
She breathed out and closed her eyes. "I love you so much...." She said.
"I love you, too." I sobbed.
I bent down and kissed her lips. I didn't care about the blood. I only cared about her.
"Save me..." She placed her hand on my chest. "I don't want to-..."
"I-I can't..." My lip quivered.
"Chan-... Every breath feels like it's burning...."
"I know-I know..."
The darkness had set. The night had arrived. I held her in my arms, tears falling from my face.
A tear suddenly formed in her eye, rolling to the side of her face. She cracked a small smile as she stared at the moon.
"Chandler..."
"Y-yeah..?"
"Looks like a good night to fly..."
Her eyes beamed towards the sky. They flickered towards me, the back of her hand slowly caressed the side of my face.
"Life will go on."
"What...?"
"It's not the end of the world."
Her eyes filled with tears as she looked back at the sky. I pulled her to my chest and held her there.
Her breath was slow. The warmth on that one spot of my chest from her was comforting.
I kept her there and played with her hair, kissing her head.
I waited.
I waited for it to happen. It did.
The spot on my chest went cold.
My fists clenched, sadness and anger fulfilling me.
I screamed out and held her tight.
"AHH." I yelled. My whole world was gone.
Everything disappeared.
Nothing was the same without her here.
The tears streamed down my face. Blood covered my shirt, everywhere.
I held her in my arms, looking down at her.
No signs of life. None in her.
No signs of life without her here.
