83: Please I Do Not Want a Heart

"Princess, are you alright?"

Dream smiled at the concerned Sarah's question. They are currently in the middle of nowhere and surrounded with nothing but the golden fine sands of the Heart Country.

"Ms. Sarah, please just call me Dream."

"How could I?! You are his highness' family! Lady Magdalene's daughter.  I dare not!!!"

"Sarah stopped yelling and getting over excited about little things! You will dire yourself." Queenie warned the maid for the umpteenth time.

"I am alright Ms. Sarah.... but I am worried for the puppies."

Dream is absolutely fine, thanks to the power of clover but the wolves are barely getting by. Dream meticulously made a necklace with the pendant of the stone she blessed. Then hidden it under their thick coats, however,  even with that, it is still a harsh environment to these furry beings.

"There should be a surprise here somewhere."

Dream and Sarah look forward to Queenie who seemed the most less affected by the harsh environment of the Heart Country.

Locals are truly amazing.

"Here it is! Come! Hurry!"

The three puppies noses went up to the air and as soon as they picked up the smell, their ears all perked up. They hurriedly ran towards to the place Queenie pointing at.

Dream and Sarah soon after followed the overly excited puppies. Then they were welcomed by a paradise.

It is a Oasis. A miracle in the middle of the desert.

"Wo..w.." Dream is lost for words.

There are grasses, flowers and some trees. But most of all, the most wondrous thing is the blue clear water being surrounded by the small nature.

"My lady, you really are the best Oasis detector. "

"Of course! My nose can smell the water from miles away!" Queenie proudly proclaimed.

Queenie looked down to the three panting puppies.

"Go ahead and jump on the water." Queenie gave the puppies a smile and the three puppies waste no time and jumped to the water.

"Let's camp here today, replenish our supply then move on tomorrow."

Dream gave the two women a nod. She then put down all of her luggage.

"Let's rest for a bit first then wash up too. The sands and sun's smell can get so overwhelming."

"I'll start a fire, my lady."

"Thanks Sarah."

Dream watched the two women who looks like veterans at camping.

-'As days goes by, the decision going with them became the best thing we had decided on.'

It seems the picky owl approve of the two women too.

"Do you think we are still far from Diamond Country?" Dream whispered  to which only the owl in her shadows could hear.

-'To be honest child, when I fly up to the sky, I cannot find the end of this sands.'

Dream let out a sigh. She is getting anxious. It was great going on a journey with Queenie and Sarah and she could not ask for more. However, with this open place, if ever they have pursuers, they have no chance to escape as there is no place to hide. Also what if, her disguise comes off and being with them put these two women in much worse situation.
