Part 17: Please I Do Not Want a Heart:

"We should meet the Emperor."

"Eh! Do we have to?" Benjamin started rolling on the couch. "And here I thought, I can bum around here in your castle."

Kaleid gave Benjamin a sharp look while pouring more tea on his cup.

"That look give me shivers." Then he wink at Kaleid. Kaleid retort with disgust and Magdalene giggled. "You are liking this My Lady."

"Fu fu fu fu, this is women's secret past time you know."

The glint in her eyes sent me cold shivers on my spine. What kind of past time my wife have that I do not know of? But it feels like, I should not ask.

"Okay! Back to the topic. You have to hear me out about the prophecy." I tried to get everyone's attention before they open an unexpected door.

"Prophecy?"

"That feeling of being in danger is not far fetch, you might not be in the future too."

"What?! And too? Does it mean...?"

"The Emperor, had concluded the fall of the Empire and all the seal bearers death and apparently, I'll be dead too."

Benjamin gave out a conceding laugh.

"Oh wow, that was eye opening. Then, all of this you are doing in Spade are?"

"Are to try  to change the future, because according to the prophecy, everything will start in here."

"I knew it! There is a catch! You had been always not a King material! Don't tell me, that is why you seduce this gorgeous lady? My Lady, you are in the wrong embrace, as someone who bear the same fate as you are, why don't we ran away from here?"

"Excuse me!!!" I stood up while slamming the desk. To stop Benjamin from inching forward towards my wife.

Magdalene just laugh and added, "running away will just makes everything worst."

"I know, I know, is there a chance of winning?" Admitting that he was plainly playing around, I just hope he start acting with maturity.

"The prophecy is only a guide, the future is still far from being determined."

"Damn, Joe, your wife sounds like a grandmother."

"Hey watch your mouth! Your highness! Is he really the Diamond bearer? Don't we have to check it's authenticity?"

It seems Kaleid is reaching his limit.

"Sir Kaleid, I can proved you that he is indeed the real Diamond bearer. As he said, we seal bearers can sense each other. Also, do not be upset, he is right." Magdalene smiles and I just sat back down on my desk.

"Oh wow, I knew it, you were into older women." I ignored his statement, well technically he is not far fetch. I glanced at Magdalene and she is just sipping her tea with an amusing mask of a face.

It seems that Benjamin noticed that the atmosphere is quite peculiar. And he does not like not knowing why.

"Okay, what is it!?" Benjamin finally blurted out.

Magdalene gently put down her tea cup on the saucer.

"The bearers have qualifications, the Spade seal is inherit by the strongest Knight, but it does not mean by physically only but it comes with strong fortitude and Will. The Spade usually settles on someone younger, and with the blessings of the seal, the bearer will do grew up as the strongest in the Empire. The Diamond is quite the same except, it may jump to more suitable ruler, the most calculative and manipulative person but with great sense of love towards the Empire."
