Part 12: Please I Do Not Want a Heart

Thanks to Kaleid, my second morning with this big man had been easier. Kaleid took the initiative to bath me and put clothes on me, though it was awkward because the big man's red eyes just watch and observe me the whole time.

We proceeded to the dining hall per usual. Kaleid tried to carry me himself, but the big man just scooped me up and held me to his chest. Kaleid just smiled and walked behind us.

When we entered the dining hall, the ever gorgeous Queen is already seated on the right side of the dining table. She is just quietly waiting but no greeting happened between the two.

The big man put me down on the newly equipped baby chair which is located on his left. It seems that in a really short frame of time, Kaleid had prepared my necessities.

The maids started bringing in the the breakfast when the big man seated on his chair. However, in separate action, Kaleid brought a tray of food which are in tiny portions. The Queen in front me raised an eyebrow upon seeing the semi-hard food.

From Kaleid's little experiment from the previous night, he served me a mashed potatoes with tiny bits of meat which I assumed from the big man's hunt last night, and on the side is mashed peas. Also for dessert is mashed banana.

Kaleid deliberately put down a tiny spoon on my side. I looked at him, and he just smiled.

'I guess, I should be at the age already where I should start learning how to use utensils, though I should still remember how to use it.'

I grabbed the spoon with pride, and started scooping food up to my mouth, I thought it will be easy, however, even if my brain knows how to do it, my body is still not well coordinated. I dropped half of the food in my spoon on my bib before it reached my mouth. I blushed from embarrassment. I stared at the food on my bib and then looked around the room. The King and queen just continued eating, the maids and Kaleid just look at me with loving look.

'Well, I am a baby I need practice.'

So I scooped more of the mashed potatoes and tried hard to bring the spoon to my mouth with at least some food on it. I was getting hang of it, when I heard a loud slam on the table that made me dropped my spoon on the floor.

"This is unsightly!! How the hell do you guys knows how to raise a proper princess?! This Castle had only been raising princes for a millennium!"

The King did not heed the angry Queen's words and just continue eating the meat on his plate, which enraged the Queen more. Moreover, it seems her anger boiled more over, when Kaleid just ignore her too, and just gave me a new spoon.

"It is I the Queen who should be raising the children in this castle! It is the Queen's important role! How could you shamelessly take that away from me! You two men just came back barging in and after leaving me the nine months worth of raising this child! You all will just take it away from me!"

'Damn, it is really hard to swallow this mashed potato. Woman, I only saw you once in that nine months, ha, ha ,ha.'

"And what are you feeding her? A meat from out of nowhere?! Are you men planning to raise this child just like how brash as you men are?!"

Kaleid, who did not like the Queen's last sentence interfere.

"Please mind your word my Queen. A king is a king." He said the last sentence with a glare.

'Dude, when a woman starts throwing a tantrum, you shall ignore her! Quit dosing the fire with oil.'

"Ha! I am his wife, it is my job to straighten my husband's wrong decisions!"

She slammed her hand on the table and lower her head to be near the big man's face.

"Before I became a Queen! I was a princess! Who else in this Castle knows how to raise one but me!! How could you, let such a commoner more so a servant do such a important job!"

Finally the King decided to retort, and he said calmly, "princess is just a title, this country might not had raised a princess, but this country had raised a million of strong women, a foreigner like you does not know how Spadians raise their child. We already let you raised the three princes, and you think you did a great job? That is great but do not let your greed eat you up from here."

The servants gasp in silence, the King just brushed off the Queen as an outsider, which leveled her lower than the servants who are native to Spades. Some servants who are native to Spades raised their chest prouder from their king's words.

'The current score is two to zero. Man, this woman keeps losing out."

The Queen was going to explode more, when a servant excused himself and announced the arrival of the first prince at the castle gates.

The big man stood up after wiping his mouth with a napkin and told the servant.

"Tell him that he may see his mother first, and he can see me when my guest leaves the castle."

"Yes your highness." The servant then ran out.

"Guest? Who is this guest." The Queen asked.

The big man continue on ignoring her and then he proceeded on scooping me up from the baby chair.

"Kaleid, bring snacks to my office."

"Yes your highness."

Kaleid then did a 180 degree turn and went back to the kitchen. The big man started walking out of the room with me on his arm.

The Queen who is desperate with answers grabbed him by the arm, which he is using to support my bottom.

"Why can't you tell me anything! We are this Country's pillar! We should be doing everything hand in hand!"

The big man just looked coldly at her and said, "You don't tell me what to do."

Shook off her hand and walk out the dining room.

I look over his shoulder to observe the woman who was left standing alone in the dining hall. She is grasping her beautiful decorated gown, and sent us out with a deathly glare.

'Hey man, didn't your mama told ya not to pick fights with women? Especially if you value your life and sanity?'
