Short story part 1: Farewell (¿?)

"Ben! Ben! Ben!"

The door of Benjamin's office slammed open. It was opened by Dia who looks disheveled. Benjamin took noticed of the mask that is not properly on his face.

He stood up and pull the boy completely to his office and then closed the door.

"How many times I told you that your mask should be secured on your face or else it will show that thing on your face?"

Benjamin fixed the mask on the boy's face and that is when he realized that the boy is out of breath and Benjamin can hear the boy's fast and rapid heartbeat.

"That is not important!! Come with me!!"

Said by the boy while trying to pull Benjamin.

"Huh, hiding that thing is the most important... Hey, wait! What is really going on?"

Seems like the two wolves in the castle felt the aggravation of their lord and came rushing to push Benjamin from the back, before he knew it, he is at the front of the Emperor's chamber.

"Huh?"

Dia slammed open the door.

"Seriously, I do not mind you not learning etiquette but don't break the doors here in the imperial palace."

Benjamin does not have the intention to enter the chamber but the two wolves continue on pushing him in.

"Yeah, yeah... Seriously what is-"

Dia removed his mask and settled on the other side of the bed, next to him is the Emperor with his peaceful look with his eyes closed. Dia looked up to Benjamin with teary eyes. He was taken aback because it is a first that he saw the boy with such expression.

"Granddad won't wake up."

Benjamin gulped and then with trembling fingers he put it under the Emperor's nose.

There was no movement nor air.

"Is he gone?" Words that slipped unknowingly from his mouth.

Dia start bawling loudly and the two wolves who is affected by their lord's outburst of emotions, started howling.

Benjamin was frozen for a bit and then a sudden rushed of blood to his head made him angry.

"Oi! Wake up! You can't just die like this! You still owe a shit ton of-... Tsk! You shitty dad!"

Benjamin's throat felt like there are stones stuck in it and he felt his nose itch from him trying to hold in his emotions.

Cough

"H-huh?"

"Cough, cough, cough... Argg, another sleep apnea? What are you guys doing?"

"Grandad!!!"

Dia hug the old man who suddenly start breathing again and woke up from his slumber.

Benjamin who was lost for words, hit the old man's head and made a hundred eighty turn, and just like that he was gone.

"Ow, why did he hit me? And what's wrong with you my little one."

"Don't do that again grandad! I thought you were dead!"

"Ha ha ha, it is a common occurrence, but your father's face earlier was not."

The Emperor was worried about his problem during his sleep but now he is glad that it leads to some sort of a good memory for him.
