WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 1965

Alexandria awoke with a dull sort of aching in her legs and a tenderness in the space between them. She wasn't unused to this pain immediately after intimacy, it had been happening to her for years now. Why? She wasn't sure, nor was she keen on skipping to a doctor to find out. Could you imagine how bloody humiliating that experience would be?

George's strong arms wrapped around her from behind, and the pillow she had brought from home felt divine under her head. She moved a hand enough to brush her wild hair from her eyes, careful not to jostle George too much because she wasn't ready to get up yet...and if George woke up, she was sure that she'd have no choice because ever since the Beatles had become famous and George had strict schedules that he was to stick to, he was all about getting up in the morning. Even if it was his day off and he felt like he was too exhausted, he'd peel himself from between the sheets and get ready as if he did have somewhere to be. Staying in bed for half of the day just bloody stressed him out now. For Alexandria, however, any day that she got to remain in bed for long periods of time were basically snippets of heaven.

Still trying not to jostle George, Alexandria carefully pulled the covers back around her body. The air in the hotel room surrounding them was cold, and her body was still practically bare from last night. George moved behind her, and her eyes went wide and she froze, worried that she had woken him. After a deep breath, though, he settled down again, his grip on her just a little tighter than before. Alexandria smiled to herself and closed her eyes, taking in the peaceful atmosphere around her.

Unfortunately, the peacefulness didn't last too long before George really did wake up. "Morning," he mumbled, hugging Alexandria tight. "You ready to get up?"

"Not really," Alexandria replied. She flipped over so that she was facing him.

"But, I mean, we're both awake now, so why not?"

Alexandria wrapped both her arms and legs around George, laying her head against his chest. "I know you've got a routine or whatever—."

"You also know that I hate changing that routine," George pointed out.

"Yeah, yeah, I know." Alexandria rolled her eyes. "But, we're on a sort of vacation now...just cuddle in bed with me for a little while longer, all right, Georgie?" Alexandria quipped. She knew that he hated the name, but she tortured him with it so much that he had given up trying to argue with her about it by now.

"Oh, all right." George hugged Alexandria tight, and she closed her eyes, basking in the feeling. "I love you a lot, you know...'specially when we do what we did last night."

Alexandria smiled against his chest, and George could feel her lips change shape. "Love you too."

"Can I at least get some damn clothes to put on? I'm barely wearin' anything right now and it's cold in here."
